Seeing Sun Lang’s doubtful expression, Shi Tianyi gritted his teeth and decided to make a bold move. "If you agree to this, I’ll teach you a trick to get Su Xueyi to move in with you!"
Upon hearing this, Sun Lang immediately felt intrigued! Shi Tian was quite cunning, but he liked it! When pursuing a girl he liked, he could use some tricks as long as his feelings were genuine; everything else didn’t matter as much!
It was far more efficient to protect the one he loved from being hurt by scumbags than to watch her suffer. That way, he wouldn’t have any regrets!
"Alright, tell me! If this plan works, I’ll keep an eye on that class for you!" Sun Lang said eagerly, looking at Shi Tian.
Seeing that Sun Lang was on board, Shi Tian chuckled and asked, "How’s your car’s fuel consumption? It would be perfect if you drove a gas guzzler over there and took her to the gas station every now and then. After a few trips, what do you think Su Xueyi would say?"
Without thinking twice, Sun Lang replied, "She’d definitely not let me take her anymore or ask me for fuel costs!"
Shi Tian laughed at his response. "But between couples, is that really necessary? Taking your girlfriend home is your duty! If you’re worried about letting her go back alone and she doesn’t want to burden you with fuel costs, what should you do?"
"I know your rented apartment is a two-bedroom place. You could use that as an excuse to ask her to help with the rent—let her take one of the rooms!"
"As far as I know, Su Xueyi can cook. She can help with chores too. You buy groceries, she cooks, and over time she can even help with washing dishes."
"This can’t be rushed; you need to be patient! When it comes to renting a place together, at least delay bringing it up! Don’t say anything now!"
Afterward, Su Xueyi will have her internship, and then she can sign a full-time contract at the store. Before that, if you bring it up casually, it will flow smoothly; otherwise, it might all fall apart!
There are still four months until then. Even if we count the month before winter break, that’s still nearly three months. If they date for three months, they’ll know whether it will work out.
If it does work out, it means Su Xueyi is interested in taking things further. If not, then Sun Lang might as well go home and sleep!
For Sun Lang’s personal matters, Shi Tian had really put in a lot of effort. The two of them spent every day in the store being lovey-dovey but lacked any real romantic experience. Both were shy about their feelings; it made Shi Tian anxious!
When Shi Tian introduced fishing gear to Sun Lang at the store, he had never seen him so invested before. Now after all this talk, Sun Lang was seriously taking notes; Shi Tian was left dumbfounded.
"Are you serious? Can you really take notes on this kind of stuff? Just remember it in your head! You need to be able to adapt!" Shi Tian shook his head and decided he didn’t want to talk to him anymore.
Reluctantly tearing up his freshly written notes, Sun Lang smacked his lips and looked up at Shi Tian with suspicion. "You’re so good at this; how come you're still single?"
Shi Tian replied:
"In college dorms, who hasn’t played the role of a love advisor a few times? The success rate might be dismal, but there are still some success stories! Otherwise, how could a country bumpkin get the campus beauty to willingly accompany him to herd cattle?"
As he stepped out and headed home, before he could even get into the car, Luo Yongshan came running over from the store with a black convenience bag in hand.
“Boss Shi, wait for me!” He dashed in front of Shi Tian and tossed two packs of cigarettes from the bag into Shi Tian's car. “Boss Shi, I tried your recipe all night last night, and it’s really impressive!”
“I followed your advice and let the filling chill in the fridge for half an hour before wrapping it into dumplings. The results are indeed much better. When you have time, come by the shop to taste it and give me some pointers! From now on, I’ll take care of the meals at the Fishing Tackle Shop, no charge!”
Regarding Luo Yongshan's claim about taking over the meals at the Fishing Tackle Shop, Shi Tian merely chuckled; he certainly didn’t want to eat dumplings three times a day! However, he was pleased that Luo Yongshan had spent an entire night perfecting the dumpling flavors. It showed his dedication to research and adaptability.
“Shan Ge, I’m fine with Xiao Tian!” he said with a smile as he got into his car. After a moment's thought, he addressed Luo Yongshan, “I went fishing early this morning and just got back. How about I come over tomorrow to taste your skills?”
“I don’t have time today. But definitely tomorrow; I’ll make sure to try your cooking!”
If Luo Yongshan was inviting him for dumplings, it certainly wouldn’t be for free; he probably intended to get something in return for those packs of cigarettes!
Shi Tian had no intention of hoarding his own resources; if he was going to give something away, then so be it. However, before doing so, he wanted to see just how well Luo Yongshan had mastered this particular filling.
The two packs of cigarettes that Luo Yongshan tossed him were something he had no reason to refuse. Just mastering this one recipe would surely support his little shop without a doubt, so accepting two packs of cigarettes was definitely reasonable.
As for taking over the meals at the Fishing Tackle Shop, that was out of the question. It was a newly opened small shop still in the red; he wouldn’t want to add more burden on them!
After accepting the cigarettes and promising to try his cooking tomorrow, Shi Tian waved the packs in his hand as a gesture and drove off!
Before he could even park properly, his phone rang. He stopped the car and pulled out his phone to check; it was an unknown number!
