The shop door was locked, and after borrowing a car from Old Zhang, Shi Tian hurried home. "What’s the rush? Drive slowly!" Old Zhang asked, bewildered, as he watched Shi Tian speed out of the yard.
"It's a mess! Our house was robbed! A few old geezers are causing trouble!" By the time Old Zhang's car was out of sight, all that remained was the echo of Shi Tian's wail.
As he raced home, Shi Tian called Air Force. Dealing with one old man was already tough enough; now three had shown up at once, which was terrifying! He needed Air Force to quickly send these old geezers back!
"Jun Ge, the old geezers have come in a group this time. The security from the villa area just called; the Three Old Men are climbing over the wall at the Back Mountain East Gate!" As soon as the call connected, Shi Tian roared at Air Force.
"The Three Old Men are climbing over the wall? What about the two granddaughters with them? Won't they stop them?" If that were the case, these five people would be too much to handle. He needed to get them out of there quickly; his heart couldn't take this kind of stress!
Shi Tian's call left Air Force stunned as well. "Did the old man go to Sanya again? And in a group?"
"When did they leave?" Air Force instinctively asked.
He was still confused. The old man went to Sanya, but he wasn’t there—how did the family agree to this?
"How would I know when they came? As soon as I got back to the shop yesterday afternoon, those three old geezers blocked me at the door! I was just as lost! But is this really the time to discuss that? They’re climbing over the wall!"
Hearing about them climbing over, Air Force felt a wave of dread wash over him. "It’s just fishing; do they really need to go all out like this?"
"Get them out of there! Hurry up and send them away! I can’t handle even one old geezer; what will happen with three together? Thinking back on his memories of being bossed around by his own old man made Air Force’s scalp tingle. Now Shi Tian had to face three alone—this was terrifying!
"Alright, you hurry up and call the old man! I’m driving back right now!" Without waiting for Air Force to respond, Shi Tian hung up.
It’s easy to invite a god but hard to send one away. How could he manage to send off these three old geezers with his small frame? He didn’t even know how he got into this mess!
When he returned to the villa, the three old geezers were still waiting by the small gate. Two security guards stood on either side, while Manager Liu was trying earnestly to persuade them to go back and discuss things later.
In this scorching heat of over thirty degrees Celsius, the old geezers didn’t seem bothered by the sun at all; they insisted on waiting for their great-grandson who had come yesterday!
Seeing Shi Tian arrive, Manager Liu finally felt relieved. The security guards didn’t know who these old men were; they only knew they were guests who had checked in last night and were arranged by Shi Tian himself.
However, Manager Liu was a trusted aide of Sun Ye. He hadn’t seen the other two old men before, but he knew Old Kong well! If anything happened to Old Kong here, he wouldn’t be able to explain it to Shi Ye or Air Force!
"Oh my! The three gentlemen are full of energy! Coming here for exercise in broad daylight!" Seeing that nothing seemed wrong with them, Shi Tian finally felt a bit more at ease.
"We want to go fishing at Xinyue Lake. Not only did they refuse to let us through, but they also insisted on stopping us. You came just in time; hurry up and open the gate!" Before Manager Liu could voice his grievances, Old Kong turned the tables on him.
Hearing this, Manager Liu still wore a smile on his face, but inside he was already panicking!
Fishing at Xinyue Lake is pointless! They don’t have the key either! After speaking on behalf of Manager Liu, Shi Tian said, “Let’s go! We can cool off at my place first. I’ll find the key for you!”
With so many people around, it was definitely inconvenient to talk. It would be better to persuade the old gentlemen to go back first.
The old gentlemen had already found out about Xinyue Lake; it was no longer a secret. There was no way to stop them, and if they were forced, who knew what trouble these old men would cause? Having been on the battlefield and mingled in high society for so long, they were no simple characters. If they were determined, it wouldn’t be surprising if they brought a helicopter one day!
Since they couldn’t be stopped, rules had to be set. Shi Tian surely had the key to Xinyue Lake; letting them fish there was fine, as he didn’t raise the fish himself and wouldn’t feel sorry for them!
Back at the villa, Shi Tian brewed a pot of hot tea for the three of them. After being out in the sun for so long, nothing felt better than sipping hot tea!
“Old gentlemen, if you want to go fishing at Xinyue Lake, just let me know. I can’t really stop you, can I?”
Shi Tian finally understood why the old gentleman had asked him to show the photo of the Big Carp last night; it was all a setup!
The mountain paths were difficult to navigate, and he didn’t feel comfortable letting them go alone. If they wanted to fish, it was essential that Xian Xian Jie and Liu Xinyue accompany them! Plus, the mountain trails were tough; they could only head up after dawn and had to come down before dark. That was non-negotiable!
As long as Wen Qianqian and Liu Xinyue were with them, he felt their safety was in good hands. They could do whatever they wanted; it wasn’t like they could carry Xinyue Lake away!
After saying this, Old Kong shot him an incredulous look.
“Are you kidding? If you hadn’t figured out what Xinyue Lake was all about, would you be leading us there?”
“Alright then, hurry up and get the key so we can head up! I’ll call those two girls over right now!” Shi Tian relented, and the old gentlemen understood his point. They were there to fish and didn’t want to trouble Shi Tian; otherwise, it would become bothersome!
Was their desire to fish really that strong? Did they want to head up the mountain in the middle of the day? Didn’t they fear the heat?
“No rush! We’ll go up later; it’s too hot on the mountain right now. There’s no point in going without anything to drink! Let’s have some tea first!” Shi Tian quickly persuaded as he pushed the old gentlemen back onto the sofa.
While cooling off was nice, someone needed to turn on the air conditioning! It had been a while since they entered the house without any air conditioning running, and now he had brewed such a hot pot of tea! “I think I’ll just go soak in the hot spring outside!”
After complaining about Shi Tian, the old gentlemen hurried downstairs and jumped into the swimming pool one after another with splashes!
Shi Tian thought:
The old gentlemen were quite considerate; when Wen Qianqian and Liu Xinyue arrived, they even brought him two cigarettes. But just one glance at the three old men soaking in the pool made both girls grit their teeth in frustration!
These three old men were too cunning; it was exhausting!
Having cooled off thoroughly without changing clothes, they urged Shi Tian to hurry up and get the key so they could head up.
With the construction of Xinyue Lake completed, this would be Shi Tian’s first trip up there. Compared to before when they had to navigate through dense woods, now there were stone-paved steps along both sides sprinkled with pebbles—perhaps to prevent grass from growing.
