Besides choosing the Fishing Spot, bait is also crucial. Giant Catfish eat Xiao Yu; Mai Sui is also on their menu. Therefore, if one wants to use a Hand Rod to catch Giant Catfish, they first need to catch either a Xiao Yu or Mai Sui to use as Fish Bait.
