As soon as he boarded the ship, Head Brother resorted to his old tricks, heading straight for the fridge. The Moutai was gone, but he certainly wouldn’t let that half bottle of Wuliangye go to waste! He casually pushed against the Air Force Door, confirming it wouldn’t open, and shook his head with the bottle of liquor in hand before returning to the dining area.
It was midday, and with the intense ultraviolet rays at sea, they weren’t foolish enough to climb up on deck to fill their stomachs. The cabin was cool, and no one wanted to venture outside into the sun.
Oh, a White Box? Could it be that you took it from Air Force? Seeing Shi Tian passing around cigarettes, Head Brother reached out to take the pack from Shi Tian’s hands, distributing one to each person. Naturally, that half pack of cigarettes ended up in his pocket.
As they shared cigarettes, the white box mysteriously transformed into a red one.
A few old gentlemen had left him two packs when they visited recently; I wouldn’t normally part with such good stuff! But now it’s all yours! After returning a cigarette to Head Brother, Shi Tian quickly dug into his meal.
Having woken up so early and dealt with that ordeal for half the day, he was already starving.
Having witnessed Head Brother's eating habits, Shi Tian didn’t expect him to leave anything behind during his feast. At this moment, it was every man for himself!
Before the old gentlemen left, they had also given him a few cigarettes. Such fine smokes—Shi Chui definitely hadn’t had any before—so he needed to save a couple for him! Therefore, Shi Tian’s pockets weren’t exactly spacious!
When Shi Tian mentioned the old gentlemen, aside from Scallions and Ginger and Head Brother, no one else knew who they were. Hearing that the old gentlemen had left cigarettes for Shi Tian made him hold Shi Tian in even higher regard!
Air Force had reserved a boat for Shi Tian, and the old gentlemen had left him cigarettes. What exactly was Shi Tian’s status?
He knew about Shi Ye; there must be some connection between Shi Tian and Shi Ye. Initially thinking that Air Force had reserved a boat for Shi Tian out of respect for Shi Ye, it now seemed more complicated. Could this guy have caused trouble for someone’s daughter?
While several people at the table were feasting heartily, Head Brother remained unhurried. He took a sip of his drink and picked at some dishes while casually chatting about their fishing exploits.
How did Zao Kou do? Caught any good ones? Last night’s catch of Dajinqiang was something he had seen. When they were moving things into the Ice Chamber last night, he caught sight of over a hundred pounds of Yellowfin Tuna—quite rare around here!
Well, I caught a few too; none over a hundred though. The biggest one I caught was just over ninety pounds! Before anyone else could speak up, Shi Tian quickly added ambiguously.
That was true; he had caught fish before. When it came to numbers, it was hard to count them all—just that group of Flying Fish alone was an astonishing figure.
Besides, he had indeed caught a fish weighing over ninety pounds that was still frozen in the Ice Chamber! Even if it was Niu Gang Mackerel, could anyone deny it was still fish?
Shi Tian’s words nearly made the four others at the table spit their food out through their noses. There really wasn’t any way to refute that; indeed over ninety pounds—by sheer weight alone, that fish could be considered the biggest catch of the day!
Once everyone had eaten their fill, Head Brother spoke up again—it was another whirlwind event as plates were cleared away.
Looking at the empty plates on the table, Shi Tian pursed his lips and asked: Are you full? Should I go fry up a couple more dishes for you?
Seeing Head Brother patting his belly, Shi Tian had only been making polite conversation—but unfortunately, he had misjudged who he was dealing with.
Is that possible? I’m still not full! That would be great; just four or five more dishes would do! Upon hearing this from Shi Tian, Head Brother immediately sat up straight and stared intently at him.
Shi Tian sighed helplessly and got up to head back to the kitchen to continue working. He couldn’t help but feel like giving himself a few slaps—this mess was all due to his own big mouth!
Shi Tianyi entered the kitchen, and Head Brother shifted his gaze, now fixated on the Scallion and Ginger to Remove Fishy Smell.
Head Brother left, carrying several takeout boxes. His small boat was nearly at the Drilling Platform, yet he occasionally glanced back at the Mini Air Force! This guy had no shame; after filling his belly, he still wanted to pack leftovers, and he even swiped half a bottle of Wuliangye! While tidying up the table, Shi Tianyi couldn't help but grumble.
To be so casual on the Mini Air Force, this person must be extraordinary! Noticing Shi Tian's complaints, Scallion and Ginger smiled slightly and reminded him.
Could someone who could be laughed at and scolded by the Air Force be simple? Whether he was simple or not had nothing to do with Shi Tianyi; he was just a seller of Fishing Gear! At most, he would come around during fishing season.
However, this guy was generous and never came empty-handed. With Tuna and Da Zhang Hong as gifts, it was quite nice. Shi Tianyi thought he might visit more often; perhaps just relying on Head Brother's fish gifts could lead him to prosperity!
But he didn’t have that much Moutai to give away; it was better to think twice about it—his capabilities simply didn’t allow for such extravagance!
After two more days in Nan You without catching many Tuna, they encountered a school of Yellow Chicken Fish. After two hours of frantic fishing, they were utterly exhausted!
These fish were easy to catch; like Flying Fish, when they encountered a school, there was hardly an empty hook. As long as the Bait Cage was set properly and they followed the fish's movements while sailing, two hours later, they would definitely be reeling in fish until they felt nauseous!
Five days at sea flew by. After finishing their fishing on Friday at Zao Kou, Shi Tianyi and his crew planned to head back home. They initially intended to fish until Thursday but got hooked on the activity and couldn’t stop—especially after Wang Gou caught an eighty-pound Bluefin Tuna, which kept them drifting at sea for another day!
Before leaving, they made sure to greet Head Brother. They returned the boat nearby and prepared a lavish brunch.
"Mini Air Force calling Head Brother, please respond!" Shi Tianyi called into the walkie-talkie before the food was served.
"Xiao Tian, what’s up? Are you heading back?" Head Brother replied instantly upon hearing Shi Tianyi's call.
Shi Tianyi had already informed Head Brother the night before about their return; at that time, Head Brother had sadly swiped a box of cigarettes from him. The fridge was out of liquor; these past few days when Head Brother came over for meals, he brought his own drinks.
"The Ice Chamber is full; we’re heading back! I specially prepared a feast for you!" Shi Tianyi smiled as he glanced at the plate of okra that Scallion and Ginger brought out.
Since they were going back, there was no need to skimp on ingredients. All things considered, this meal was quite sumptuous.
"The Ice Chamber is full? I originally wanted to give you a Bluefin Tuna; never mind then!"
This fish had been caught that morning before work and weighed nearly fifty pounds. While working on the Drilling Platform, tossing out some food could attract a whole school of fish; thus, they were never short on fish.
However, when fish could be exchanged for delicious food or even good cigarettes and fine liquor, their interest in fishing surged! After work, they would cast their lines; generally speaking, they looked down on ordinary fish!
Actually, there was still some space; if they really tried hard enough, they could fit more in! Upon hearing about the Bluefin Tuna, Shi Tianyi immediately perked up!
If Head Brother could present it as a gift, it certainly wasn’t a thirty-pound small fry; it had to weigh at least forty pounds!
"Wait for me, I'll be right there! Cook a few more dishes; I need to pack some for my brothers on stage to improve their lives!"
For a fifty-pound Bluefin Tuna, Shi Tian had no choice but to return to the kitchen and continue working. After another half an hour of busying himself, this was all thanks to the Scallion and Ginger to Remove Fishy Smell!
