Watching the fish swim by without biting was driving everyone to the brink of frustration! Should they leave? The big fish were right there, and Wang Ergou could catch one in half an hour, even Zhang Junming had gotten in on the action, landing a seven-pound Grass Carp. Just taking pictures had delayed them for over twenty minutes.
But staying here was even more troublesome! Since the sixth of the month, Ise Nii had nearly switched to Ten's Qian You, yet they were still only catching small ones. Why couldn't they get a decent catch?
"Dog Brother, what bait are you using? All I’m getting are these small ones!" Finally, someone couldn't hold back any longer and approached Wang Ergou for advice. A pack of cigarettes was shoved into Wang Ergou's hand, the gesture as humble as it could be.
Glancing at the pack of Dazhu cigarettes in his hand, which were of decent quality, he handed one to the man and lit one for himself. "It's just regular Plastic Particles; it's right next to the Fishing Box! If you want to use it, bring a bowl and I’ll pour some for you!"
"When I first got here, I was only catching small ones too. I spent three whole hours pulling in small fish! Once I cleared this area of them, then I finally started getting some serious bites! With so many small ones around, no real fish will come!"
Seeing the man with the Dazhu cigarettes, Wang Ergou generously shared his knowledge and even offered him half a pack of Bait, assuring him that tonight he would definitely have a good time fishing!
If someone was asking Wang Ergou for advice, there were also others seeking tips from Lobster. The two had rehearsed their lines thoroughly; their methods were quite similar. Soon enough, the area was filled with fishermen arriving at night to Chou Tiao.
By eleven o'clock, Wang Ergou decided to reel in his line! Five Big Grass Carp in one night was quite an impressive haul!
"Zhang Junming, my friend is packing up; he came with me in my car. I need to take him back. Let’s just fish here tonight!" He stood up and stretched lazily while Lobster smirked at Zhang Junming.
"What’s the rush? It’s only this early! Just let him take your car back; I’ll give you a ride later!" After just catching a seven-pound Grass Carp, how could he leave now?
If he didn’t leave, neither would Lobster! If Lobster left, who would help him net the fish or take pictures? Plus, it felt eerie here; he hadn’t fished at night before and didn’t dare stay alone!
He could drive back himself without issue, but he still had to get up early for work tomorrow! As he noticed Zhang Junming’s Float twitching slightly, Lobster smiled and said, "Zhang Junming, think about work!"
He focused on getting that fish up first!
"Shh! It’s biting! Let him take your car back! We’ll head back once we land this fish!" He casually replied to Lobster while gripping his Rod tightly, waiting for the perfect moment to strike!
Wang Ergou left in Lobster's car; whether Lobster would make it back tonight remained uncertain!
Reeling in this fish meant they were still catching something. If any Fisherman uttered those words, it meant there was a bite.
As long as there was a bite, Fishermen wouldn’t retreat! Unless a bigger fish was waiting!
Back at the Fishing Tackle Shop, Sun Lang and Old Zhang were still holding down the fort.
Shi Tian had given them a pack of Black Bream Bait; they weren’t planning on stopping until they used it all up tonight!
It was almost midnight—weren’t they going to pack up? After parking his car, Wang Ergou carried his catch across the path.
If they were biting like crazy now, they’d stop once it slowed down! A Black Sea Bream came up; Sun Lang glanced back at Wang Ergou and cast his line again with a piece of Xia Rou attached.
Sun Lang wasn’t wrong; they really were biting like crazy. Just as his Black Sea Bream came up, Old Zhang hooked another one—a pound-plus Black Sea Bream—that made Wang Ergou's hands itch with anticipation.
Looking at the bucket full of Black Sea Bream, Wang Ergou couldn't help but compare it to the Grass Carp in his own Yu Hu. The difference was stark! Since the lobsters wouldn't be back anytime soon, why not try his luck and catch a couple of fish? He had an Iso Rod in the car, so he decided to fish for a couple of hours and bring home some dinner!
Soon, the duo became a trio. "You catch one, I'll catch one," they said, and time flew by quickly.
Recently, Shi Tian had been feeling a bit overwhelmed. Three times a day, Yun Wan'er would video call him to check on things, asking him to show her the second-floor bedroom to make sure he hadn't installed the curtains from Shih Huang yet. It wasn't entirely Yun Wan'er's fault; if Shi Chui was around, he'd casually mention it just to provoke her, always worried she'd forget about it!
After running to Yixing to buy a few Zisha Teapots and grabbing two bags of Yuhua Tea in Nanjing, Shi Tian was about to stroll around Zhuo Zheng Yuan when Shi Chui remarked that the curtains Xiao Tian bought were really ugly! That comment sent Yun Wan'er speeding off to Jingdezhen.
They picked out several vases, packed them up, and sent them off via express delivery. After spending a night in Jingdezhen, they barely finished breakfast when Shi Chui suddenly asked if Xiao Tian could play the guitar. That killed Yun Wan'er's appetite; she gave Shi Chui a good punch before they set off again.
Yesterday, they had traveled nearly a thousand kilometers and settled in Qingyuan, a picturesque place. Both Yun Wan'er and Shi Chui liked it here. They had originally planned to spend the day relaxing by the water.
However, after fishing for just two hours yesterday afternoon and catching a few Xiao Tiao, Shi Chui couldn't resist teasing Yun Wan'er again first thing in the morning!
At this rate, Shi Tian calculated that if they worked hard tonight, they should be able to Xu Wen. They could cross the sea early tomorrow morning and arrive by afternoon at the latest!
