"One dollar a pound? What a joke! Even for a thousand dollars, he wouldn't sell it. He still wants to show off in front of Yun Wan'er! It's a pity there aren't many people in the villa area; otherwise, I could take this fish to the town for a stroll. But that might be a bit too ostentatious, right?"
"Lao Shi, look! This Fishing Rod, the fishing line, and the Fish Hook are all mine! Even that Live Shrimp is mine! Using my gear and my bait, catching half the fish isn’t too much to ask, right? This fish is nearly ten pounds; let’s just say it’s worth a thousand. Split it fifty-fifty, and you just need to transfer me five hundred! Cash or bank transfer? Shi Chui caught a big one; while he’s in a good mood, I might as well ask for a Red Envelope!"
After checking the photos Shi Tian took for him and confirming there were no issues, he placed the fish into the Fish Bucket. Shi Chui turned around and shot Shi Tianyi a glare, saying, "I used my son's gear and Fish Bait; what does that have to do with you? You think you can come here and take advantage of me?"
After dealing with Shi Tian, he switched to a piece of Xia Rou. Shi Chui raised his hand and tossed it out. Who would still fish for Xiao Yu when there are big fish around? He continued to guard his big catch, hoping to reel in another big one to tease that kid!
Shi Tian thought to himself: This Lao Shi doesn’t play by the rules! Is it really okay to hog everything like this?
Sun Lang found the Rod uncomfortable and decided to put it away instead of fishing. He had to find a way to get something out of this situation!
"Lao Shi, Old Yun asked me to bring you back for dinner when she left earlier! Let’s pack up and head back!" As he spoke, Shi Tian took out his phone, waved it in front of Shi Chui with a grin, and threatened him.
A big Skinned Fish had hooked Shi Chui's interest; now that he was hooked, he definitely wouldn’t leave. Since he didn’t want to go, he had to pay up; otherwise, one call would summon Yun Wan'er immediately!
Five hundred? Two hours! One thing brings down another; as soon as Yun Wan'er’s phone number lit up on his screen, Shi Chui immediately complied.
Five hundred wasn’t enough! The weather was perfect for going out to sea; weren’t you going fishing? According to the market here in Sanya, renting a Rod costs eight hundred. Given our relationship, I can’t charge you that much; let’s settle on five hundred. Sounds fair enough! Come on, transfer me a thousand!"
Once the thousand dollars were in his account, Shi Tian's service immediately kicked in. Fishing Box, Fishing Chair, sunshade—he even bought Shi Chui a large coconut. The only thing missing was someone standing behind him fanning him!
Another small Skinned Fish was caught; Shi Tian quickly changed the line for Shi Chui. Using steel wire for Skinned Fish isn’t bad either; however, since his line was strong enough, it wasn’t necessary. Skinned Fish bite lightly, and switching to steel wire leaders makes it harder to hook them.
Skinned Fish are migratory fish; starting in October when the northern waters cool down, they migrate southward. They have regular habits: sleeping at night and foraging during the day—perfect timing for fishing in the afternoon when they gather in schools!
If these fish are swimming by Shi Tian's shop door, they must be having bad luck. Normally they should be over at Xidao and stay there until they head north again in January.
However, staying at Xidao isn’t much better; there are many tourists there fishing too. Plus, plenty of locals target them Xia Shou style with so many dolphins and sharks around—life there is probably not better than at Shi Tian's shop!
Shi Tian's promise of two hours never seems reliable! When Yun Wan'er called in, all of Shi Tian's promises evaporated instantly—there was nothing even Shi Chui could do about it.
Packing up his gear and sitting in Shi Tian's car, he casually reached over and found two boxes of Trademark cigarettes that Shi Tian had left on the car seat now tucked into his pocket.
With the window rolled down and a cigarette lit up, Shi Chui seriously warned him: "How old are you? Learning to smoke already? You should smoke less; it's bad for your health. These two boxes are confiscated!"
Shi Chui felt pretty good despite Yun Wan'er interrupting their fishing trip. The catch was decent—a six or seven-pound Skinned Fish as a base along with several Black Sea Breams and Shiban that he hadn’t caught before—it was quite satisfying!
"I originally saved two for you," he said with a grin. "But you're right; smoking is harmful to health. For your sake, I’ll give those two packs away another day!"
After saying this, Shi Tian paused for a moment before silently pulling out one of those boxes from his pocket and offering one to Shi Tian: "What fisherman doesn’t smoke? But remember to control yourself; definitely smoke less. Just don’t smoke at home or Old Yun will give you an earful!"
After saying that, Shi Chui thoughtfully took out a lighter and handed it over, watching Shi Tian with eager anticipation as he lit the cigarette.
Lowering the car window, Shi Tian exhaled a puff of smoke and chuckled, "You have experience with this; dealing with Old Yun will rely on you! I'll bring you the cigarettes later, but you better hide them well! If Old Yun catches you, don’t drag me into it!"
"Don't worry, it's a piece of cake! Just get the cigarettes ready, and I'll come by tonight to pick them up." With a slight smile, Shi Chui gave Shi Tian a reassuring glance and chuckled.
Returning to the villa area, he didn't rush home but first went to grab a piece of tuna. He planned to use it to entertain Yun Wan'er later that evening. Previously, he had taken a slice of Bluefin Tuna from Pingtou Ge to treat Li Ziyu, and now he was cutting another piece for Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er. As for the leftovers, they would go to Manager Liu as a treat for the staff. Once thawed, this delicacy couldn't be refrozen at low temperatures; it could only be kept fresh.
Fresh storage has its time limit—at most seven or eight days—after which it becomes inedible. Rather than let it go to waste, it was better to give it to Manager Liu and his team. After all, most people wouldn't splurge thousands of dollars on a tuna feast.
As for the Tuna Sashimi promised to Su Xueyi, that could wait until next week when they returned from their sea trip! Sun Lang was going out to sea too; did Su Xueyi really need to worry about it herself?
