Very few people engage in live streaming, as most prefer short videos! Why? Because fishing live streams are too boring; staring at a bobber for half a day without a bite simply won't keep viewers interested! Catching a fish is the exception, while not catching one is the norm. Even those big influencers mostly play with small fry! The risks of fishing for larger species are too high, and the chances of landing a big one are slim. After a whole day of fishing, editing short videos yields little viewership, and who would want to watch a few small Carp anyway?
However, regardless of viewership, Shi Tian thought it would be fun to give it a try and gather some material. If his Fishing Box upgraded and production increased, he could open an online store to expand his business, at least getting his Fish Hooks out there.
Using the funds from yesterday's Niu Zong, he bought a tripod and some Dog Meat. He didn’t need to buy a phone for live streaming since he had several at home; bringing two would suffice. He reluctantly purchased a laptop and decided to prepare an Outdoor Power Supply as well. Was the solar charger reliable? Regardless of its reliability, he needed one, and he also got a car charger. Shi Tian began planning his escape from home.
With only a week left until Xiao Jian's wedding, he expected all his gear to arrive by next Monday, so he decided to set off then. Four days of travel and fun should make it easy to reach Guangdong!
On Monday morning, he stuffed the Fishing Box into the car and dropped off all the Rods he had painstakingly made at the shop. He exchanged the complimentary kitchen knife for a Shovel and gave Sun Lang a quick word before driving off in Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er's Traveling Car to kick off his fishing adventure!
His first stop was right outside the shop! The car was out of gas, so he planned to catch a few fish at the shop entrance to sell to Old Zhao before refueling!
Since this was an adventure, he wanted something thrilling—no money wasted! He rushed off from here to Guangdong and wondered if Xiao Jian would be moved!
Watching Shi Tian set up across the street, Sun Lang pinched his nose and approached him. "Boss, what are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be heading to Guangdong? Why are you fishing here?"
Setting up the Fishing Box, Shi Tian glanced back at Sun Lang. "The car's out of gas; I need to catch some fish to make money for fuel! Just wait! Remember to come support me later; I’ll give you a discount!" With that said, he hooked on some Live Shrimp, cast his line, sat down on the Fishing Box, and considered whether he should convince Sun Lang to give him a tank of gas first.
Although Sun Lang was technically an employee, that wasn’t really accurate! He had previously offered Sun Lang a salary, but Sun Lang refused! His goal was clear: work for free just to chase Su Xueyi here!
Since they weren't employees but friends instead, friends were meant to take advantage of each other, right?
"Boss, those Live Shrimp you caught earlier weigh half a pound already; you haven't paid yet! How about settling up first?" Hearing Shi Tian’s intention to play poor made Sun Lang more spirited!
When he set out on his bicycle initially, he planned on playing like this too. However, within half a day, hunger struck hard enough that he had no choice but to dip into his savings!
He couldn’t let Shi Tian surpass him. If even one fish bit, it could easily allow Shi Tian to splurge for half the day! This situation needed immediate intervention.
Shi Tian hadn’t intended to take advantage of Sun Lang; why was this guy still going on?
"These shrimp aren’t fresh; I don’t want them anymore! Take them back!" He shoved the Fish Bucket toward Sun Lang with an eye roll. This time Shi Tian had learned his lesson!
"You’re just looking for trouble! These are Live Shrimp—each one is lively and kicking; how can they not be fresh?" Though he said this out loud, Sun Lang proudly took the Fish Bucket back inside the shop. He scooped the Live Shrimp into the water tank and returned with an empty bucket for Shi Tian.
"Boss, there's still a shrimp on the rod! That's from the shop too; you need to take it off!" Sun Lang said with a smug expression. "Being poor means you have to look the part; we must be strict with ourselves!"
This guy was just here for the show, trying to annoy himself!
"Sun Lang, do you know that love is the most fragile thing? Look at me—young, handsome, and romantic. Aren't you a bit worried leaving me here?"
Mutual harm, huh? Then let’s hit your weak spot and see who backs down first!
"That won't happen; you like Kang Ziyu, so you can't possibly be interested in Su Xueyi!" Sun Lang forced himself to stay calm as he brought up Kang Ziyu.
That might be true, but it doesn’t stop me from throwing a few jabs at you in front of Su Xueyi!
With that one comment, Sun Lang's smile vanished.
"Boss, can you watch the shop for a bit? I need to borrow your car and I'll be back in twenty minutes!" Sun Lang immediately backed down.
"Borrow the car? There's no gas left! It won't go far!" He started tidying up his gear, relieved that this time there would be fuel.
"No worries, I’ll fill it up for you! Are you heading to Guangdong? I heard it snowed in the Northeast; why not take a detour to see the snow?" Sun Lang took the keys from Shi Tian and felt like he could send Shi Tian to Mars at that moment!
"Forget about the snow. Just keep an eye on the shop so I can enjoy my time outside longer!"
Twenty minutes later, Sun Lang returned driving the car, which was now full of gas. He even thoughtfully turned it around, almost shoving Shi Tian into the passenger seat for a ride!
"Don't worry; Su Xueyi only has eyes for you. Didn't you notice how her gaze follows you wherever you go?" Shi Tian patted Sun Lang on the shoulder with a grin. "It's no big deal; give her a chance to take care of you. The more sickly you are, the easier it'll be for her to move into your place!"
With that, Shi Tian pressed down on the gas and drove off. By the time Sun Lang looked up again, he could no longer see Shi Tian's taillights!
