"One thousand two, right? Sell me that Rod!" After laughing enough, I turned to Shi Tianyi, who showed no intention of letting the Rod go.
"Alright! When we get back to the shop, I'll give you a few Hooks. We're running a promotion: buy a Rod and get a Shovel for free. I'll even get you one later!" Seeing Bro get hooked, Shi Tian decided not to bother with casting anymore and quickly led him back to the shop to settle the payment.
With a Shovel in hand and a box of Hooks as a bonus, the line on the Wheel was intact. It had just been set up for less than twenty minutes, but that was beside the point. I hurriedly took out the payment code for Bro to settle the bill. "You go ahead and do what you need to do!" More lights were coming in; I couldn't let him lose focus!
At six-thirty, Wang Ergou's crew arrived—five people with five sets of Rods, totaling twenty-four thousand yuan. This was just the first batch; I heard there was another batch coming in the afternoon.
With over a hundred thousand yuan deposited that morning, Shi Tian felt that Yi Laotou's account should be nearly settled after these two months. And this was without even opening an online store; if that happened, it would surely be even more!
At eight o'clock, Su Xueyi arrived at work on time, finally freeing Shi Tian from his duties.
He drove to buy a large fish tank and then went to Old Zhao's place to get a Fish Bucket full of Live Shrimp. Since Shi Ban's Bait needed to be raised by himself, he decided to start with one tank and see how it goes!
After moving the fish tank up to the third floor, he went downstairs with the bucket to fetch seawater. Yun Wan'er was busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast.
"What time did you come back last night? Was it that busy at the shop?" Seeing Shi Tian carrying the water bucket outside, Yun Wan'er came out of the kitchen with two plates of breakfast.
"I got back around eleven! There was no one at the shop this morning; Sun Lang had to go participate in the Bait Contest, so I kept an eye on things all morning!" After replying to Yun Wan'er, Shi Tian turned to head out.
"You haven't eaten breakfast yet! Hurry up and eat!" As she finished speaking, Yun Wan'er looked at the water bucket in Shi Tian's hand and asked, "What do you need that for? Is there no water upstairs?"
"I'm going to fetch seawater for raising shrimp; we need it for the shop." He reached the dining table and quickly stuffed some fried eggs into his mouth before downing a glass of milk. Shi Tian realized he was quite hungry.
Upon hearing about Shi Tian wanting to raise shrimp, Yun Wan'er sighed and turned to Shi Chui. "Lao Shi, you haven't exercised this morning! Go help your son fetch two buckets of seawater! Xiao Tian just ate; he can't do any strenuous activity!"
Shi Tian had indeed been working long hours lately and felt quite tired. He had gone to the shop before four this morning, which made Yun Wan'er worry about him!
Hearing Yun Wan'er say this, Shi Chui felt frustrated: "He ate my breakfast! I haven't even had mine yet! How can I have the energy to help him fetch water?"
However, when he saw Yun Wan'er approaching him with a shovel in hand, Shi Chui quickly gave in and ran outside with a water bucket! How did he end up spoiling him without realizing it?
After finishing his breakfast and glancing at Yun Wan'er with her hands on her hips watching Shi Chui go fetch water, it seemed she wasn't hungry after all. So he decided to help her out! In no time at all, by the time Yun Wan'er returned, Shi Tian had cleaned up his plate completely and had already headed into the kitchen to wash the dishes!
"What happened to my breakfast?" Seeing Shi Tian busy in the kitchen, Yun Wan'er looked a bit stunned. She had been working hard all morning without even getting a bite!
"I thought you weren't hungry, so I helped myself!" After washing two plates, Shi Tian replied earnestly.
"Are you full now?"
"Yes!"
"I'm still hungry!" Yun Wan'er stood at the kitchen door with a smile fixed on her face as she stared at Shi Tian. That smile made him feel a bit flustered.
"You can't skip breakfast! It's not good for your health! You keep busy; I'm going to help Lao Shi; we need at least three or five buckets of water to fill up that big tank upstairs!"
With a quick word, Shi Tianyi slipped past Yun Wan'er and dashed down to the underground garage.
Hauling water was such a hassle; it was much easier to toss a few storage boxes into the trunk, drive to the beach, and fill the fish tank in one go!
As the tourist season approached, more and more people flocked to the villa area in the Front Area, and the number of bikinis on the beach increased as well.
On the way, they picked up Shi Chui, and the two of them filled the trunk with storage boxes before leisurely driving back.
“Lao Shi, you and Old Yun have been here for a while now, and I haven’t taken you out to explore. After we finish eating, I’ll take you out on my little boat to play at Yalong Bay beach!”
Shi Tian had initially planned to take them to the Great Eastern Sea for a stroll, but there had been a fruit swimming area there a few years back. He heard it was banned now; that was old news from ten years ago!
In comparison, Yalong Bay's beach was far better than some of those at Great Eastern Sea. With seven kilometers of white sand, known as Tianxia Di Yi Wan, it certainly had some substance behind its name.
Yalong Bay? He would ask Old Yun later if she was interested! To Shi Chui, sunshine, beaches, and bikinis were less appealing than a broken reef; beneath the reef, there were definitely fish to catch!
Filling up the fish tank was straightforward: pour in a bucket of live shrimp, sprinkle in some prepared feed, and watch as the shrimp scrambled for food. This fish bait was secure.
Shi Tian was raising Ghost Shrimp in this tank; they could thrive in both saltwater and freshwater. However, to turn these shrimp into bait for Stonefish, he would need saltwater!
He did want to raise some Mantis Shrimp, but they were only found in the north; there were none in southern Hai Li. If he had the chance, he could get some brought over and keep them in his Small Artificial Lake. The water there was Mountain Spring Water—cool and likely suitable for keeping them alive.
