"What the hell are you sending me these unhealthy photos for? Do you want me to help you pick one? I'm not familiar with this stuff; I'm a decent person!" Brother Bird's eyes were glued to the screen, scanning for something.
Hearing the word "decent" come from Brother Bird's mouth nearly made Shi Tian spit out his soda! This was the same guy who almost ran off with a bridesmaid at Jian Ge's wedding—talk about being decent!
"Old Si, I want to open an online store to sell fishing gear. I thought I'd seek your advice! Consider this a little meeting gift, a small perk!" Shi Tian was a bit surprised that Brother Bird didn't even say a word when he saw the girl.
He turned on the rear camera. "I'm heading to Sanya for a business trip in a couple of days. Just wanted to familiarize myself with the area and see if it's worth investing billions!" Shi Tian spoke up, but Brother Bird still felt it was better to come in person, especially since this was the first time Shi Tian had reached out to him.
As soon as the rear camera turned on, Shi Tian smiled slightly. "When are you coming to Sanya? Bring me an operator while you're at it! Either leave someone behind or train a reliable operator for me!"
An online store relies entirely on operations. A good operations team is the foundation of success for an online shop.
"You have quite the appetite, asking for my operator right off the bat! Where is this place? Send me the coordinates, and I'll bring an operator over. You prepare someone reliable, and I'll have them guide you."
Shi Tian wasn't surprised by this; Brother Bird had plenty of time to wander around without worrying about store matters because he relied on his team of operators. If he could bring one over and help train another, Shi Tian would be more than satisfied. But wanting to keep someone? That might be pushing it!
"When are you coming over? I'll book your flight and arrange everything!" If Brother Bird was willing to come help him out, he needed to make proper arrangements. He also wondered if there were any hotel rooms available; if not, he'd have to find accommodations for them outside.
"You can't arrange anything yourself; how can you expect to arrange for me?" Brother Bird retorted as he started getting busy.
There wasn't much for him to prepare on his end; it was mainly about operations.
He had three operators under him—two were tied down with family commitments, which meant they couldn't be moved. It was impossible to send someone on a business trip for a month just like that; he'd have to pull Old Lin into this.
He sent Old Lin the photos Shi Tian had just shared. After putting his phone away, Brother Bird poured himself a glass of vodka and started timing how long it would take for Old Lin to respond.
Vodka wasn't expensive, but Brother Bird had a taste for it—he preferred it straight from the bottle rather than in smaller measures.
"Boss, sun, sand, and bikinis! It's only been an hour since we last met; where have you been?" A voice message came through, nearly making Brother Bird spit out his drink.
"Old Lin, you've worked hard! I was thinking of taking you to Sanya for some fun, but I didn't expect you to talk about your boss like that. Forget it; I’ll just take Old Li instead!" After downing his drink, Brother Bird sighed in relief.
"Don't be like that, boss! Old Li's daughter has been sick with a cough for days; how can you let her go to Sanya?" Brother Bird threatened, and Old Lin immediately backed down.
Going on a business trip with Brother Bird wasn't about working; it was all about eating, drinking, and having fun!
"I know you love fishing; I'll take you fishing in Sanya! I'll pick you up early tomorrow—no need to bring any fishing gear; there's plenty of it in Sanya!"
This trip might keep him in Sanya for about a month before he could return. If there were any issues, he could handle them while he worked in the studio! After finalizing things with Old Lin, Brother Bird hurried off to the studio.
While Brother Bird was wrapping things up on his end, Shi Tian faced some headaches. Finding a reliable person wasn't easy! Nowadays, employees switch jobs faster than cooking—excuses are as varied as they come, like inheriting five acres of good land!
Su Xueyi definitely wasn't reliable; she couldn't work full-time anyway. If she got into it with Sun Lang, she'd leave without hesitation!
Who else besides Su Xueyi? The temporary workers she found were even less dependable than her—absolutely impossible!
Let’s first post the job openings and see if we can find someone. If this doesn’t work out, I might need Yun Wan'er’s help. The Import and Export Department has quite a few reliable employees, but getting them to Sanya might not be easy!

Casually mentioning this to Shi Tian, Yun Wan'er took a sip of coconut juice and said, “Do you really have that much production capacity in your Fishing Gear? Can it support the sales of an online store?”
As soon as Yun Wan'er finished speaking, Shi Chui slightly raised himself and reminded her, “Your Rod positioning has issues. If you sell it at this price in the online store, your brand will be ruined. It’ll be impossible to move into the high-end market later!”
This is why it’s important to seek advice when needed. Through just a few exchanges between Yun Wan'er and Shi Chui, they pointed out several issues that made Shi Tian realize that he had been rather casual about running his store. In the eyes of Yun Wan'er and Shi Chui, his Fishing Tackle Shop was just a small roadside stall; it hardly qualified as a business!
