Sigh! Where's my cigarette? I rummaged through all my pockets and caught a glimpse of Air Force out of the corner of my eye. This Bro seemed a bit clueless!
I couldn't find my smoke anywhere. "Hey, Bro, can I borrow a cigarette?" Since this Bro was so oblivious, I decided to just ask outright.
To my surprise, this Bro didn’t expect Air Force to be so thick-skinned. What a character! But when he finally spoke up, it was just to ask for a cigarette, so he couldn't really refuse. He certainly didn't have the same audacity as Air Force.
As the cigarette was pulled out, Air Force thanked him and took one to put in his mouth, while Shi Ye and Lu Ya quickly gathered around.
This Bro was getting into the spirit of things, respectfully handing out one cigarette each and even lighting them up for them. These three were no ordinary folks! If a single cigarette could solve a problem, it wasn’t even worth mentioning!
Driving to the airport, I spotted three people standing at the entrance of the Arrival Hall, each with a cigarette in hand, nearly finished smoking. Beside them stood another Bro, holding cigarettes and a lighter, always ready to supply them with more.
"Why didn’t you let me know you were coming? I would have come to pick you up earlier!" I parked the car and shouted towards the three. As I helped them with their luggage, I noticed that the Bro handing out cigarettes looked somewhat familiar!
"Niu Zong, you’re at the airport too? Just arrived?" Earlier, I had been eagerly waiting for Niu Zong to place an order, but it seemed he had been off somewhere else!
Seeing Shi Tian, Niu Zong looked as if he had seen a long-lost relative. These three were quite intimidating; once they latched onto you, escaping was nearly impossible. I had just smoked one from the pack myself, and now they had taken the rest!
I almost wished I could just grab a cab and leave, but I feared these three might hitch a ride with me. If they decided to pull something on me halfway through, I'd be in serious trouble.
I stepped back behind Shi Tian, and immediately Niu Zong took a cautious step back and asked, "Are you here to pick these three up? Do you know them?"
"Of course! They’re three Fisherman. The boat I operate is theirs!"
I casually mentioned this while tossing the luggage into the trunk. Turning to Niu Zong, I added, "I heard from my senior that you guys are heading out to sea in a few days? Going after Tuna again? Last time, Ma Zong and the others had quite a good catch. Make sure to let my senior take you to Pingtou Ge’s Secret Fishing Spot! The fish there are plentiful!"
As for that particular Fishing Spot, I had no plans to return; Pingtou Ge had given me two other Secret Fishing Spots, which would keep me entertained for quite some time. That spot could be left for Scallion Ginger Fishy; let him take this crew there!
Upon hearing what I said, Niu Zong looked surprised. The famed Air Force was among these three? He quickly turned around and distributed more cigarettes among us: "So you're all part of the same fishing crew! We should go fishing together sometime!"
After finishing distributing the cigarettes, Niu Zong pulled me aside and asked, "Do you still have any Boat Rods? Help me order two rods with two thousand meters of line; Zhu and Lu Zong will be coming over in two days. We’ll take another trip out on the sea!"
He wanted to get acquainted with Air Force, but he knew he probably wouldn’t catch their attention. With someone like Shi Tian in the mix, there would be opportunities down the line; being too eager right now wouldn’t look good!
Since Air Force was here, they would definitely catch some fish during their sea fishing trip. As long as someone kept an eye on the Air Force boat and the Mini Air Force, once they set sail, he could charter a boat himself for an even better chance of running into them at sea!
Hearing that we were finally discussing business made me smile; I had been waiting two days for this deal to finalize!
"You can pick it up from your shop on Thursday morning. A batch of goods will arrive tomorrow and the day after; I'll save two rods for you at your shop!"
As soon as I finished speaking, Air Force and his crew had already jumped into their car rummaging for cigarettes. When they pulled out a box, poor Niu Zong, who had just taken two puffs from his cigarette, felt utterly abandoned as everyone lit up their own.
Each took one from their stash while stuffing another box into their pockets. One of them even handed down a box as they got out of the car towards him.
"Thanks for that earlier smoke! Here’s another one; try this—it’s smooth!" After passing it over to him while waving goodbye to his departing friends, he turned back towards his own vehicle waiting for driver Shi Tian to take charge.
Watching as their car drove away and glancing at the cigarette in my hand made me want to slap myself. It was just a few cigarettes! Why was I so stingy earlier? If I had been a bit more generous, maybe by now I'd at least be friends with Air Force!
As soon as they exited the airport, Shi Ye immediately spoke up, "Xiao Tian, is the Boat Rod ready? On the Air Force ship? Let's first check out the Rod at the Yacht Dock!"
At this hour, Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er were surely still asleep. To ensure he could get some rest tonight without being pressured into marriage, Shi Ye planned to linger on the Air Force ship for a couple of hours before heading out.
Hearing Shi Ye's words, both Air Force and Lu Ya exchanged slight smiles; it seemed Shi Ye had indeed been worn down by the pressure!
"No, let's head to Anhe Town first. Li Ziyu is waiting there to treat you all to some crayfish!" As soon as Shi Ye made this suggestion, it was immediately shot down by Shi Tian.
From Li Ziyu's tone, it was clear that she was quite familiar with both Lu Ya and Air Force, and she seemed to know Shi Ye well too. There were many stories about Shi Ye that Shi Tian was unaware of, but Li Ziyu was fully in the loop!
The mention of Li Ziyu waiting for them in Anhe Town caught everyone off guard. Shi Ye knew that Li Ziyu had moved into a villa area; otherwise, he wouldn't have walked right into a trap. However, he hadn't expected that Shi Tian had gotten close to Li Ziyu and was now inviting them for crayfish in Anhe Town.
"Then let's head to Anhe Town first!" After saying this, Shi Ye was somewhat surprised. "When did you start hanging out with Xiao Yu? You've really fallen for her? Good luck! Try to bring Xiao Yu into our Old Shi Family; I can't wait to see how dark Li Ping's face will turn!"
