After lunch, Shi Ye and the others each took a fishing rod and stood by the side of the boat. Shi Tian glanced over but found he had no interest in fishing at the moment. After spending the entire morning on the boat and preparing lunch for everyone, all he wanted was to find a place to lie down and get some good sleep.
He got up and headed back to his room, but as soon as he closed the door, it bounced back open.
“Xiao Tian, where’s your rod? Give it to me! I want to cast a few lines!” Just as Shi Tian was trying to shut the door, Head Brother pushed it open while rubbing his hands.
Seeing Head Brother, Shi Tian couldn’t help but smile. This guy rushed over without even bringing his own rod just to see his sister! What a perfect opportunity.
Since he didn’t bring a rod, there was no need to let him go back for it. By tomorrow when they reached Nansha, he wouldn’t have a chance to retrieve it anyway!
“Alright, just wait a moment! I’ll get it for you!” Shi Tian turned around, fetched the rod for Head Brother, and sent him out of the room. That’s when he spotted Li Ziyu hiding nearby.
Seeing Li Ziyu follow Head Brother back onto the deck made Shi Tian grin; suddenly he wasn’t feeling sleepy anymore!
He returned to the deck and sat there watching the others fish while fiddling with his phone and occasionally sipping on some liquor. He sat like that for over an hour.
When Head Brother caught a fish, Shi Tian immediately got up, circled around behind him, grabbed Li Ziyu’s small hand, and pulled her upstairs, startling her into covering her mouth in silence.
“What are you doing? I still want to watch my brother fish!” Once they reached upstairs, Li Ziyu quickly broke free from Shi Tian’s grip and glared at him angrily.
“Your brother took my fishing rod; isn’t it fair for me to take his sister?” With a chuckle, Shi Tian said to Li Ziyu, “Let’s go up on the roof and soak up some sun. The sunset will be soon; let’s go watch it over the sea!”
“Hmph! You think I’m on par with a fishing rod?” Upon hearing this, Li Ziyu placed her hands on her hips, scrunched her nose, and stared at Shi Tian with wide eyes.
Seeing her like this made Shi Tian pause. If Su Xueyi had said something like that to Sun Lang, he might have dropped to his knees immediately! Luckily, he hadn’t fallen behind in his studies while helping Brother Niu, so he could handle this situation.
“I’m not comparing you to a rod! I just snatched you away from your brother without him even noticing you’re gone; he’s still focused on reeling in his fish!” After saying that, he playfully poked Li Ziyu’s nose, causing her irritation to vanish instantly.
Turning to glance at Head Brother who was still busy with his catch, Li Ziyu rolled her eyes at Shi Tian before heading up onto the roof and sitting next to Jiu Yue.
Seeing Li Ziyu go up top, Shi Tian quickly followed. However, as soon as he popped his head up on the roof and saw Jiu Yue and Eleven leaning against each other there, he froze—he had forgotten there were two other people around!
There was no time to run away now; he might as well sit down casually!
After greeting them, he listened as the three chatted about topics he couldn’t interject into. In this lullaby-like atmosphere, his eyelids engaged in an intense battle before finally agreeing to close.
When he opened his eyes again, countless stars filled the sky. Li Ziyu pinched his nose and called him for dinner.
Drowsily opening his eyes and seeing two trails of wake behind the stern of the boat indicated they had moved far away; they were likely heading towards Xisha but he had no idea where they were now.
He went down one level on the deck, washed his face to wake himself up a bit more, then slipped into the cockpit where Air Force was operating the boat alone.
“Where are we?” He glanced at his phone; it was already past ten at night.
“Have you eaten? Up ahead is Chang Le Princess; follow it slowly! I’ll get up at four-thirty tomorrow morning to switch shifts!” After giving Shi Tian a look over his shoulder, Air Force turned around ready to relinquish his position.
Only three islands are open to tourists in Xisha: Quanfu Island, Yin Yu Island, and Ya Gong Island. Traveling to Xisha is quite simple; all you need is an ID card and five thousand yuan to buy a ticket.
Xisha is only open to Chinese citizens, and no foreigners are allowed. Therefore, the only pass required here is the ID card; it’s the only card that matters.
There are two cruise ships going to Xisha: Chang Le Princess and Nanhai Cruise. However, neither can dock at the islands because the waters near the islands are too shallow. The ships stop at the edge of the island, and then passengers take a rubber boat to reach the shore. After enjoying their time on the island, they return to the ship via rubber boat for meals and rest.
“Wait for me! I’ll just grab a quick bite and then take over for you!” Shi Tian hurried back to Air Force One to eat.
Dinner was prepared by three beautiful women, but he had no time to savor it. He quickly stuffed a few bites into his mouth before rushing off to take over Air Force.
The journey from Sanya to Xisha is less than two hundred nautical miles. At the normal cruising speed of Air Force One, it would take about five hours to get there. However, following closely behind Chang Le Princess would be a different story. That ship’s speed was less than ten knots, meaning they would have to endure a long night on the water, arriving in Sansha around eight in the morning.
After taking over Air Force One, everyone returned to their cabins to sleep. From a distance, Shi Tian watched a group of people cheering on Chang Le Princess and felt a bit bored.
As soon as the cabin door opened, Li Ziyu peeked out her little head, looked around to confirm everyone had gone back to their rooms, and then dashed into the cockpit barefoot, holding two cups of iced coffee.
“Thanks for your hard work! Here’s a cup of coffee to perk you up!” She smiled slightly as she handed one cup of coffee to Shi Tian and plopped down beside him, planning to keep him company all night.
Taking a sip of coffee and glancing at Li Ziyu’s bare face, Shi Tian thought his taste was excellent; she looked just as beautiful without makeup!
“Xiao Yu, do you want to go ashore when we get to Xisha tomorrow?”
They weren’t fishing and had nothing much to do on the ship. Having come all this way to Xisha, it was impossible not to want to go ashore.
“What’s fun on the island?” The only two entertainment options in Xisha are snorkeling and fishing. Since they weren’t fishing, snorkeling would be their only choice.
“Going ashore! It’s boring on the ship. I’ve made plans with Jiu Yue and Shi Yi to go snorkeling.” However, since Air Force One couldn’t dock at the island, they would need a small boat for that. “How about you take us over in a small boat tomorrow?”
Hearing this made Shi Tian pause slightly; so this cup of coffee wasn’t just for enjoyment—he’d have some hard work ahead of him tomorrow!
