The experience of Head Brother was not to be underestimated. After catching a fish, he quickly distanced himself from Shi Chui. If the lines got tangled, no one would be able to reel in their catch.
Fishing at a depth of around sixty meters! After landing two fish at that depth, Shi Tian turned to remind Sun Lang and the others. Tuna were also social creatures, but unfortunately, they passed by in a hurry and wouldn’t linger for long. The Xiao Yu attracted by Xia Pi were nibbled at a few times before they swiftly swam away.
Since they wouldn’t stay for long, they should quickly fish at sixty meters; every additional catch would be a bonus. "Fish school?" Hearing Shi Tian's reminder, Oka turned to ask.
Without waiting for an answer, he dashed into the cabin to check the Fish Finder. Seeing Oka enter the cabin, Shi Tian hurried in as well; he wanted to see how many fish were below.
Damn! A school of fish! Quickly shake the rod and aim for one fish each. After just a glance, Oka rushed out of the cabin, grabbed his rod, and cast his line; there were still several big fish at sixty meters deep.
Looking at the Fish Finder screen, several icons spun 180 degrees around the boat. The arched areas were red, while the bent ends were blue. Those sizes indicated they were undoubtedly big fish!
"Once you hook a fish, spread out quickly! We can’t get our lines tangled!" Shi Tian reminded everyone before running back to his Fishing Spot. He picked up his Rod and began a slow retrieve; it had been a while since he fished for Wen Yi Yu!
"What's this? Just a few fish; it shouldn't be that bad!" Shi Chui rolled his eyes at Shi Tian's comment and decided not to engage further; the fish on his rod was enough work for him!
"What do you know? This is called technique!" Sun Lang’s clear voice rang out from behind.
Got one!
The Rod bent sharply, and the drag sounded as he took a few steps back towards the Stern, back-to-back with Head Brother.
All three of them hooked fish simultaneously—this could get tricky! If anyone else hooked one, they’d have to rush to the front of the boat.
Now it all depended on Head Brother; hopefully, he could bring in his catch quickly!
Shi Chui couldn’t rely on him for now; whether in skill or stamina, it would take him half an hour to bring this fish alongside the boat. He just hoped not to lose it or have it swim off and tangle someone else's line!
"Xiao Tian, hook it!" With a slow retrieve, Shi Tian still hadn’t caught anything. Just as he was about to pull up his Rod to change bait, Head Brother at the Stern called out.
"Forget about reeling; it's time to help!"
Carrying his hook towards the Stern, he could already see glimmers of white beneath the water. This fish was not easy to catch; it showed no signs of exhaustion and was being dragged over by Head Brother.
Leaning over the side of the boat, Head Brother maneuvered to guide the fish toward him. He waited for the right moment and swung down with his hook—it was slightly off-target but fortunately caught behind the fish’s gills.
With a hook in hand, Wang Gou had already brought over another line to help. With another cast, this time it was steady! The Yellowfin weighed in at eighty pounds; you can bleed it out yourself, I haven't even started yet! As he removed the two hooks, Shi Tian casually remarked that if they didn't catch any more fish soon, this school would swim away!
He reeled in the line and refilled a Bait Cage with a Squid. It wouldn’t hurt to take a moment; he hurried into the cabin to turn on the spotlight and tossed the Fishing Set towards Hai Li, still sixty meters away! Head Brother's fish was coming up, and Oka had hooked another one; only he and Wang Gou hadn’t had a bite yet.
As the day’s business wrapped up, once the milk tea shop closed, Kang Ziyu switched back to his Mini Cooper. It wasn’t that the coupe was hard to drive; it was just more lively with four people in one car.
It had snowed heavily in Weihai! Let’s go play in the snow there! Sitting in the passenger seat, Yun Wan'er turned to Kang Ziyu and Eleven. Northerners weren’t particularly obsessed with snow, but they were intrigued by the new activities they saw online.
When should we go? How about waiting for Tian Ge to come back and go together? Yun Wan'er suggested playing in the snow, and everyone seemed interested.
He goes out to fish without taking us; why should we bring him along to play in the snow? Let’s speed things up—if we fly over tomorrow and play for a day the day after, we might even get back before he does! Kang Ziyu's suggestion was immediately shot down by Yun Wan'er.
Taking Kang Ziyu and the others to play in the snow would be enjoyable; but if Shi Tian joined them, how could they have fun? Would they just be eating dog food?
Alright! Can we buy tickets for tomorrow? The decision was made, and the four of them began bustling about—booking tickets and hotels: flying from Sanya to Jinan and taking the High-Speed Rail to Weihai. If they worked efficiently, they could be rolling around in the snow by tomorrow afternoon!
Shi Tian hadn’t expected that after spending a few days fishing, his girlfriend would be whisked away by Yun Wan'er! What was worse was that everyone else was catching fish while he was still empty-handed.
Sun Lang’s fish came up, and he helped scoop it out; then Wang Gou hooked another one. Oka’s fish surfaced without needing his help this time, and Head Brother caught another one too.
After a round of fishing, finally all the fish were on board—but the school had fled! Xiao Tian, your skills aren’t great either! In the past when we went Sea Fishing, you wouldn’t always ask Brother for help, would you?
A Dajinqiang weighing over ninety pounds came up; Shi Chui seemed a bit inflated with pride. He had caught two Tuna today, matching Head Brother's record. On the entire boat, only Shi Tian hadn’t caught a single Tuna; Shi Chui found some satisfaction in that.
