As Shi Tian and Shi Ye set sail, Shi Chui took Yun Wan'er and Lu Ying Er and turned towards Shandong. Kang Ziyu was already half a member of the Shi Family, so he had to come along as well. The Nansha Islands were not a place one could reach in just a few days. The journey alone would take a week, and with a few days of fishing, it would easily stretch over half a month.
The newly opened Traveling Car was parked at the car wash, getting cleaned inside and out while Shi Chui adjusted Yun Wan'er’s previous travel route. They planned to stop by Hunan to visit the in-laws, the Guo brothers, before heading to Yangzhou in the beautiful month of March, then traveling north all the way to Shandong. They also needed to visit another set of in-laws in Beijing to formally propose to Shi Ye; their wedding could not be delayed any longer.
Throughout this journey, Shi Chui would act as both driver and bodyguard, while Yun Wan'er and the others would be the main focus. As for Shi Tian, he could join whenever he wanted; it was better to let him fly over directly!
Shi Tian had been to Xisha twice before, so he had some understanding of the area. Last night at midnight, he had switched out Sun Lang to let him rest, but by five in the morning, Sun Lang was already waiting at the driver's seat with his rod in hand.
"Sister Lang, are you here to play Shaking?" Shi Tian asked curiously as he glanced at the rod in Sun Lang's hand. Their rods weren’t without Shaking capabilities, but those were smaller models.
Sun Lang had also upgraded to a Smart Rod. As the owner of a Fishing Tackle Shop and Vice Leader of Diao Jiao, it was only fitting that he had a proper setup. After all, Bald Eagle and the hooks from Indonesia had already been put into service, racking up points daily.
"Fishing for Big Fish! An Electric Reel lacks soul!" Sun Lang exclaimed proudly as he patted his large Spinning Reel.
"You’re impressive; this time we’re heading to Nansha. If you pull a muscle, you’ll just have to watch when we get there!" Shi Tian warned with a smile. "Sister Lang, I’ll find you a big fish later so you can regain your soul!"
Sun Lang was looking for excitement, and Shi Tian was more than happy to oblige. They were now close to Treasure Island; once they activated the Fish Finder, they could check for any big fish nearby. They planned to catch one for Sun Lang's enjoyment first.
Traveling towards Sanya in Nansha meant navigating west of the Xisha Islands. To fish effectively, they slightly deviated from their course; ten kilometers east lay Ganquan Island, known for its abundance of Tuna and lack of military presence—fishing near the island wouldn’t be an issue.
As they slowed down the boat, Shi Ye and the others emerged from their rooms, each holding an Iron Plate Rod equipped with Shaking reels. Was Shaking becoming popular again?
"Let’s stop here and fish! With Spring Tide these days, don’t play around near small boat reefs!" Shi Tian reminded them as they turned towards the stern.
After anchoring the boat and returning to their rooms, Shi Tian glanced at his prepared rod from last night. Should he switch to an Iron Plate Rod too? With five people on board and four using Shaking reels while he used an Electric Reel—it felt out of place!
Quickly assembling a Spinning Reel and loading it with line and weights, he decided to give it a try since he hadn’t caught any big fish using Shaking reels yet. He stood at the stern with his gear ready; casting his line into the water, he filtered out any small fish automatically—aiming for at least a hundred meters!
After releasing two sections of line, something tugged on it—he was hooked! But upon inspection, it didn’t seem like anything too large!
At the twenty-meter line, it was easy to reel in, but within a short time, a one-pound Lian Jian was brought up. Without saying a word, I took out my phone and decided to plant the first flag for Xisha before anything else; I could always replace it later if I caught a big fish.
Xiao Tian, how embarrassing! Using a one-pound Lian Jian to plant a flag? That’s an insult to Xisha!
Just as the flag was raised, someone yanked it down. Turning around, I saw Air Force had flown in with a three-pound Red Drum, trying to snatch the first flag of Xisha, but Shi Tian had already spoiled the moment with his Lian Jian.
Hearing Shi Tian planting his flag, Sun Lang slapped his thigh in realization. He had already caught several Xiao Yu and completely forgot about planting his own flag!
He opened Social Media and found the biggest fish he had caught, checking its attributes; it was exactly two ounces heavier than Air Force's catch. Without hesitation, he quickly planted his flag, but within a minute, Air Force's flag was pulled down.
A Sea Wolf came up just as Lu Ya's flag was raised. Shi Tian immediately put in the effort and secured a Ghosthead Knife with a half-pound advantage.
