Hearing Shi Ye's voice, Old Kong quickly tucked away the contract he had signed with Shi Tian, turning around and stuffing it under the blanket. The cabin was mostly filled with fixed items, leaving no real place to hide things; he couldn't just shove them into the fridge! After returning this time, he would have someone bring in a safe for his room to make hiding things easier.
The two old men lay back on the bed, and Old Liu paused for a moment before understanding what was happening. He took off his shirt, opened the door bare-chested, and squinted at Shi Ye.
"Is there a lead weight? It's in the fishing box; you can get it yourself! Or you could take the fishing box outside; that would be more convenient!" After saying this, Old Liu glanced at the bed in the room and realized there was no space left. What should they do? They couldn't just lie on the floor!
"There is one; I just caught a Great White Shark weighing over thirty pounds!" One by one, they opened the fishing boxes, grabbed a bag, and collected all the lead weights inside, casually taking two steel wire leads as well.
Casting a glance at the two old men on the bed, Shi Ye exchanged a meaningful look with Old Liu before turning to leave, not forgetting to close the door behind him.
After coming up from the lower deck, he tossed his things onto the table and weighed one of the lead weights from Xia Shou. It still felt a bit lacking, so Shi Tian was pushed into Shi Ye's room.
"Your room is quite luxurious! It's a pity to waste it on this ship. A small reef boat would suffice over in Zhoushan; it's all about fishing at those islands. We should take the ship back to Sanya!"
While rummaging through Shi Tian's lead weights, Shi Ye spoke up: "Get me a blowtorch; I'll make some big lead weights myself. The sky won't steal from you then!" His tone suggested that not taking his own lead weights was an act of great generosity.
"No blowtorch? How about a camping stove?"
"That works! Same thing!" He opened the fridge and found three cans of slim soda. Soon enough, he would pour out the soda to use the can as a mold.
"By the way, I'll have someone set up another shipyard under someone else's name for you. We'll leave you an independent large factory area to build ships and send them to that shipyard to avoid drawing attention."
"They've also reserved a factory area for you in Myanmar; we haven't secured Brunei yet, but once we do, you'll get one there too. Once conditions are ripe, we should establish more bases abroad to avoid being monitored." After reminding Shi Tian about this, Shi Ye gathered his scavenged items and retreated to go refine pills with Lu Ya.
Establishing more bases abroad truly needed to be prioritized. First off, they needed to get that foreign trade rod out of sight; otherwise, it would attract too much attention!
Myanmar still needed some work; Brunei wasn't ideal either. Da Ma was decent; New Zealand could work too. Europe was tricky—big countries were ineffective while small ones lacked power—better off going to Africa where having guns meant power.
However, when Shi Ye mentioned Myanmar, it became worth considering. Recently, a document had been released allowing for the formation of overseas mercenaries; they couldn't possibly ignore that opportunity. If they could have around a hundred people in Myanmar, safety could be assured!
He decided to inquire further! If Shi Ye had such plans and could find a way to get people over there, it might actually be feasible.
Each person took a can of soda and finished it in one go. By the time Shi Tian came up, Lu Ya was already melting lead with a pot.
This pot looked familiar no matter how he viewed it. He rushed into the kitchen for a quick glance at the pot rack—sure enough! This guy was using a cooking pot to melt lead! It was this very pot that had cooked their meal at noon; he wondered if they dared to eat from it again!
