Sun Lang was quickly ushered off the yacht, while Shi Tian hurriedly lifted the pot lid to stir-fry. If he continued chatting with Sun Lang, his pot of braised Wang Chao would surely burn!
Once the food was ready, he plated it up, and Li Ziyu immediately grabbed the dish and dashed to their room. It wasn't that they didn't want to eat at Feiqiao; it was just that there were too many mosquitoes in Zhoushan, which would bite mercilessly. They didn't dare venture to Feiqiao without going out to sea first.
A plate of braised Wang Chao, a plate of Jumping Fish, and two servings of Little Greens—these were all hard-earned dishes that absolutely could not be shared with others.
After filling their stomachs, Li Ziyu was tasked with cleaning up the battlefield. Checking the time, Shi Tian noted that it was still a bit early to prepare dinner for their ten o'clock meal. He decided to handle the ingredients first and then check on how well the others were fishing.
Although it was late in the evening, Shi Tian had no intention of fishing. The tide had gone out; what fish could be caught? Even if they did catch something, it would likely be Xiao Kalami, and he had little interest in offering his blood to mosquitoes for just a few small fish.
After casting a line for a day without much luck, many people had already started looking for places to stay. There weren't many people by the seaside. Reef Fishing at night was inherently scarce; with wind and waves at night and slippery rocks, it wasn't suitable for night fishing.
Seeing Shi Tian arrive, several people began to reel in their lines. They weren't particularly interested in fishing for Xiao Yu here; they had initially planned to wait until the two remaining Fishing Buddies gave up. But now those two showed no signs of leaving.
Where were Da Gui Wang and Xiao Yu? After looking around, Shi Tian noticed Da Gui Wang was absent, and Xiao Yu hadn't been seen since she returned earlier—he had thought she might still be at the store.
Xiao Yu had gone straight to the hotel to rest after getting off the boat. He had called her earlier; she was already asleep and wouldn't be coming over. Da Gui Wang had gone out to eat with those Fishing Buddies and would come by later. After tidying up their things and returning the fish to the sea, Sun Lang commented as he picked up his Fishing Gear and headed back to the boat; his gear was also stored there.
The group returned to the boat together. Seeing that Wang Gou and his crew had left, the two Fishing Buddies quickly packed up their things and left as well. With their departure, the once lively atmosphere became somewhat intimidating as waves crashed against the rocks.
It made sense that Xiao Yu wouldn't come; a gathering of men meant Li Ziyu had retreated into the cabin to sleep. There wouldn't be much fun for her anyway.
The men weren't afraid of mosquitoes; after frying a few dishes and spraying themselves with mosquito repellent, they headed over to Feiqiao with drinks in hand, ready to party until dawn.
"Xiao Tian," Da Hai began after a few drinks. "I called Xiao Feng two days ago; he said there's an opening for a store manager at the Xiangshan location. He suggested I give it a try. What do you think?"
Da Hai already had Xiao Feng's approval; he had mentioned it to Sun Lang back in Langgang. But now that he was face-to-face with Shi Tian, Da Hai felt it necessary to bring it up.
"Sure! No problem at all! I would welcome your help with open arms." After raising his glass in a toast to Da Hai, Shi Tian thought for a moment before adding, "There's no rush on that front; let's enjoy ourselves here for a couple of days first. Let Ou Ge and Sun Lang share some insights on running a store."
Xiao Feng would be heading to Tianjin soon for a Fishing Gear Expo, which would take about a week. The store in Hangzhou was already running smoothly, and upon his return, the next store would be in Xiangshan.
After some discussion with Sun Lang about cutting down several stores in Jiangnan, they agreed that once Hangzhou and Xiangshan were operational, their next steps would involve opening locations in Shanghai and Yangzhou.
As for other stores, they decided not to open any more for now; they would focus on packing up and returning things to Li Yunfei instead. Opening so many stores wasn't useful; developing online operations was far more efficient.
Shi Tian wasn't entirely convinced by Da Hai's talk about business prospects. He wasn't even a programmer yet; being young in this industry meant that even if one company went under, there were plenty of others eager to hire him.
The salary for a store manager was decent but likely paled in comparison to what Da Hai could earn doing his current job. It made Shi Tian wonder why Da Hai would want to leave everything behind just to become a store manager in Zhejiang.
