Shi Tianyi opened his mouth, eager to elaborate, but his previous comments had been entirely from a market perspective. He could have discussed production and materials, but just as Shi Tian was about to continue, Old Kong interrupted him.
"Lu Ya, why don’t you share what factors need to be considered when establishing a Battery Factory?" As soon as Shi Tian tossed out the question, Old Kong called on Lu Ya.
"Old man, I didn’t catch anything!" He raised his rod slightly, not wanting to embarrass himself in front of these old foxes.
Xiao Tian started off the discussion, and according to their age hierarchy, it was customary for the younger ones to speak first.
Old Kong’s rules were whimsical; the previous structure had vanished, replaced by new ones. If he wanted you to speak, he would surely create a rule that prompted you to do so.
Shi Tian realized that these few already had their minds made up. This so-called discussion was merely a whim to test them; the real discussions would take place behind closed doors among them, with no guarantee that he or Air Force or Lu Ya would even have the right to attend.
A rod was cast out, and a small boat approached from a distance. Shi Tian had grown accustomed to seeing these speedboats.
Even around Wild Boar Island, there were plenty of small boats. The water quality was good and the fishing conditions favorable; many came here for snorkeling or fishing. However, they were always restricted from landing on the island.
"Hey there! How's the fishing?" shouted Bro from the boat, stopping about thirty or forty meters away from the island with his rod in hand.
"Pretty good! I've been getting bites consistently!" Shi Tian replied with a smile, prompting an eye roll from Bro on the boat.
"Brother, you’re quick with your responses! Trying to take advantage of me?"
Bro felt a bit frustrated; calling him 'old man' only for a young person to respond felt off.
"I just wanted to remind you that this is a Military Restricted Area; your boat is getting a bit too close."
The term "Military Restricted Area" was far more effective than any no-fishing sign. Fishermen who saw such signs often chose to ignore them; they might even take those signs back with them.
It was simple: wherever there was a sign indicating restrictions, it meant there were fish. If there were fish, it became a battleground for fishermen.
Shi Tian’s comment left Bro without any retort; mentioning "Military Restricted Area" implied that these individuals were connected to the military. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be brazenly fishing here.
After glancing at Shi Tianyi, Bro cast his hook near Shi Tian’s float and slowly backed away with the boat. While humans couldn’t approach Wild Boar Island, having the hook near it shouldn’t be an issue!
The choice of Shenzhen for the Battery Factory location was indeed correct; Shi Tian had guessed right.
However, selecting Shenzhen wasn’t solely due to its market and transportation advantages but also for research purposes.
The compact nature of batteries led to smaller mobile devices, and once wireless charging technology was resolved, it could give rise to an array of new products.
After completing their factory planning in Shenzhen with Yi Laotou, Pingtou Ge and the others returned to Sanya.
Their trip to Xisha yielded good results; even Hong Shun managed to sell over ten thousand worth of fish and came back eager to boast about it.
"Master, this is the money I earned from selling fish! What do you want to eat? It’s on me!" Holding over ten thousand in cash and glancing around without seeing Yi Laotou or Li Ziyu nearby made Hong Shun feel a bit uneasy.
"This money is yours, so keep it well for school," Shi Tian said earnestly, rubbing Hong Shun's little head. "Today, I'm taking you to celebrate with your Uncle."
Leading Hong Shun onto Scallion Ginger Fishy's small boat, Shi Tian shot a threatening glance at Scallion Ginger Fishy, who looked back at Hong Shun with pity. "Good luck to you, little one!"
As they entered the resort, they rushed towards Scallion Ginger Fishy's small workshop. Shi Tian had a vivid memory of this place; every time he saw that little door, tears would flow uncontrollably.
"Shun Shun, we're having hot pot tonight. Can you help me fry some dried chili peppers? Do you know how to fry them?"
"Master, I can fry chili peppers! I learned from the chef at the hot pot restaurant!"
"You stay here and rest with Uncle; I'll handle this," Hong Shun assured confidently as he dove into the small kitchen to prepare.
Shi Tian was ultimately kind-hearted and only prepared five pounds of chili peppers for Hong Shun. Holding up a pepper as a demonstration, he pointed at the broken range hood on the wall and reminded him, "Your Uncle's range hood is broken; it can't be plugged in. If you do, it'll explode. Just fry them like this!"
Once he finished speaking, he grabbed two bottles of beer and closed the small door behind him. Sitting at the entrance, he clinked bottles with Scallion Ginger Fishy. "Unless he finishes these five pounds of chili peppers, I have no plans to let Hong Shun out today."
"Xiao Tian, Shun Shun is still young. Why are you getting worked up over a child?" Scallion Ginger Fishy advised as he clinked the bottles.
It seemed that Scallion Ginger Fishy thought Shi Tian was overreacting by punishing Hong Shun for something so minor.
"I'm not worked up; we're really having hot pot tonight." After downing a gulp of beer, Shi Tian glanced back at the door; they hadn't even started cooking yet—Hong Shun was still inside picking chili peppers.
"If Master finds out about this, just wait for your punishment of frying chili peppers!" Scallion Ginger Fishy chuckled and reminded Shi Tian.
"Let Yi Laotou find out? I can always fry my own chili peppers!"
"This is just between the three of us; I won't say anything. Will you?" Shi Tian pressed, staring intently at Scallion Ginger Fishy.
"Of course not! Even if I were to tell on Hong Shun right in front of you, I wouldn't admit it!"
Seeing Scallion Ginger Fishy shake his head, Shi Tian handed him a cigarette and continued, "If you don’t say anything and I don’t say anything, if Master finds out, then it’ll be what Hong Shun said. I’ll just prepare more chili peppers for him next time!"
Shi Tian’s insistence on having Hong Shun fry the chili peppers wasn’t merely because of his small mistake.
