Wang Lan's expression changed.
She knew that Lin Xia was speaking the truth.
The office door was pushed open.
"Wang Lan, what’s going on?" Company President Wang hurriedly walked in.
"Dad, I..."
Wang Lan instinctively wanted to defend herself.
President Wang waved his hand.
"Don't say anything; I already know."
He turned to Lin Xia.
"Supervisor Lin, what do you think?"
Lin Xia felt disdain in her heart. How could he not know about the things his own daughter was doing? Now he comes here pretending to ask me what should be done?
"President Wang, I suggest the company issue a statement immediately."
"Admit the management oversight and promise to correct it."
"At the same time, we should abolish those unreasonable regulations."
"We need to reestablish a management system that complies with labor laws."
President Wang nodded thoughtfully.
"Yes, that makes sense."
"Dad!"
Wang Lan became anxious.
"You can't listen to her!"
President Wang cast a stern glance at his daughter.
"Enough! This situation has escalated because of your mishandling."
He turned to Lin Xia.
"Supervisor Lin, let's proceed as you suggested."
"You draft the statement, and I will review it."
Lin Xia nodded respectfully.
"Yes, President Wang."
Lin Xia exited the office.
He let out a long sigh; everything was as expected.
Half an hour later, the company's official Weibo account released a statement.
"We sincerely apologize for the recent comments circulating online regarding our company's management system."
"The company acknowledges that there have been shortcomings in our management and will immediately abolish the relevant regulations."
"We will reformulate a management system that complies with laws and regulations."
"We sincerely apologize to all employees and thank everyone for their understanding and support."
Once the statement was released, public opinion shifted immediately.
"Honest attitude, thumbs up for the company!"
"Having the courage to admit mistakes and correct them is what makes a responsible enterprise!"
"Looking forward to Xinghuo Technology rising from the ashes!"
Lin Xia looked at the comments, a faint smile curling at the corners of her mouth.
As the workday came to an end, Lin Xia stepped out of the company building.
Suddenly, she heard hurried footsteps behind her.
"Supervisor Lin!"
Lin Xia turned around to see Xiao Zhang and a few colleagues quickly catching up.
"Boss, thank you so much!" Xiao Zhang exclaimed excitedly.
"If it weren't for you, we might still be enduring those harsh regulations."
"Yeah! With her schedule, I couldn't even take care of things at home," another colleague chimed in.
The others expressed their gratitude as well.
Lin Xia smiled and waved her hand dismissively.
"This is what I should do. We are a team and must work together."
Just then, a cold voice interrupted.
"How touching, Supervisor Lin."
Wang Lan had appeared behind them, a mocking smile on her face.
"Don't think this is the end."
Wang Lan said coldly.
"Just wait, the real show is yet to come."
With that, she strode away.
Lin Xia watched Wang Lan's retreating figure, a flicker of wariness crossing her eyes.
The battle had only just begun. This Wang Lan would definitely not let things rest; who knows what tricks she would pull next?
But Lin Xia would not back down.
She, Lin Xia, feared no one in her own domain. If it weren't for the many people on her team, she might have already resigned.
Lin Xia sat at her desk, her expression grave.
Last week's public relations storm had calmed down. The company even received unanimous praise from netizens for its timely responses and corrective actions, which had also led to an increase in financing interest.
Yet, Wang Lan's words echoed in her ears.
"The real show is yet to come."
