Chen Xuan had no choice but to change his initial thoughts. He was eager for his farm to get back on track as soon as possible. After pondering for a moment, he said in a deep voice, "I need the best seedlings, those rated three or above. Get me as many as you have!"
Huh? The owner was taken aback. He had sold so many seedlings but had never encountered anyone wanting such high-quality ones. These were no longer just seedlings; they were practically trees! Who would buy them for no reason?
The owner’s eyes darted around, and he quickly agreed, "No problem! Just tell me how many you need, and I’ll get them for you!"
Chen Xuan nodded and stated the quantity he required. Citrus, pomelo, bayberry, pears, apples, peaches, loquats—he listed every type of tree he could think of. He wanted a large and varied quantity, including everything he could see in front of him.
After hearing the types of trees Chen Xuan needed, the owner rubbed his hands together and excitedly paced back and forth, occasionally picking up the calculator on the table to work out the prices. The prices of trees fluctuated greatly, ranging from a few dollars to hundreds. Those that would bear fruit shortly after planting were the most expensive.
In the end, for two thousand high-quality seedlings—of which a small portion were already trees—the owner charged Chen Xuan a discounted price of three hundred thousand.
"Is there any problem with the seedlings?"
"Don't worry; if there's any issue, I'll compensate tenfold!"
Chen Xuan pondered for a moment before nodding in agreement to the owner's price.
The owner was thrilled! He slapped his thigh and laughed heartily, "What a generous deal! I’ll have my staff deliver the trees right away; you can pick them up shortly."
"Thank you."
Chen Xuan nodded and paid the deposit to Ten Thousand. The delivery of the trees would take some time, so Chen Xuan didn't linger in the shop; instead, he left and headed towards the seedling area in front.
He found a store with the largest variety of plants. Without hesitation, Chen Xuan purchased a batch of grape, strawberry, and cherry seedlings, planning to plant them in his farm.
The owner of the seedling shop was pleasantly surprised; it was his first time receiving such a large order. Not only did he offer Chen Xuan the best price, but he also gifted him a durian seedling.
Chen Xuan graciously accepted the gift. The seedlings were readily available in the shop, and after inspecting them for a moment and finding no issues, he promptly paid and asked the owner to send the seedlings to his farm in Chen Family Village.
The owner excitedly patted his chest, assuring him that they would definitely arrive within an hour. Chen Xuan smiled and strode back towards the previous shop.
Suddenly, he noticed something odd. He looked around in confusion and found many shop owners pointing at him and whispering among themselves, their expressions serious.
When they caught Chen Xuan's gaze, their eyes flickered, and they quickly turned away. Chen Xuan paused for a moment, pondering this behavior before continuing towards the shop.
At the entrance of the shop, a large truck was already parked, filled to the brim with the trees Chen Xuan had ordered. There were also three or four other trucks outside.
Seeing Chen Xuan approach, the Dark-Skinned Boss excitedly came forward. "Boss, I've prepared all the trees you need! Just pay up, and we can deliver right away."
Chen Xuan glanced at the large truck and smiled cheerfully. "No rush; I want to take a look at the goods first."
As soon as he finished speaking, the Dark-Skinned Boss's expression suddenly turned cold.
