Professor Yang introduced the expert from the Netherlands, Professor Yacos. The crowd raised their eyebrows in surprise. A professor from the Netherlands? After such a long wait, he finally arrived!
Professor Yang stepped forward with a smile and extended his hand, saying, "Welcome, welcome."
Yacos nodded slightly, his demeanor haughty as he scanned the crowd. Suddenly, his gaze froze. Among the people, he spotted a figure he absolutely did not want to see again.
"It's you!" Yacos glared at Chen Xuan, his eyes filled with anger.
Chen Xuan smiled faintly. Life is indeed full of coincidences. He hadn’t expected that the low-quality foreign man he had teased last time would turn out to be the expert from the Netherlands!
No wonder they had been talking about the expert from the Netherlands transferring to their hospital these past few days; it was him!
Chen Xuan grinned widely and shyly nodded his head. "Hello, Professor Yacos! I’m Chen Xuan, a disciple of Professor Yang. I hope you’ll keep an eye on me in the future!"
Yacos glared furiously at Chen Xuan, who acted as if they were meeting for the first time. It nearly drove him mad! But with so many people around...
Yacos hesitated to voice his unpleasant thoughts, reluctantly setting aside his prejudices. He shot a glare at Chen Xuan, choosing silence instead.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the supervisor addressed them: "Professor Yang, Professor Yacos, in ten days, the head of the Xiang Nong Wei Tuan project will come to review the experimental results. I hope you can present satisfactory Experimental Data."
"Absolutely!" Yacos replied confidently, dismissively adding, "I'm from the Netherlands; my capabilities speak for themselves. You can rest assured!"
"Good!" The supervisor smiled faintly before turning to Professor Yang. "And you, Professor Yang?"
Professor Yang sighed, "We'll do our best. We still have one final step to complete before meeting your expectations."
"I look forward to your final results," the supervisor said as he began to turn away.
"Wait a moment!" Yacos interjected, scanning the room with an air of arrogance. "My experimental methods are the most advanced in the world, and I won't allow anyone to spy or observe."
"I hope to stagger the usage of the ten laboratories—each person will have half the time. This way, we can avoid any intentional data confusion." With that, Yacos cast a pointed glance toward Professor Yang.
This glance ignited Zhang Hou's anger; he immediately stepped forward and pointed at Yacos. "What did you say? Who's confusing your data? No matter how good your data is, it can't compare to ours! Pah! I don't care about it!"
"Zhang Hou!"
Professor Yang gestured for Zhang Hou to step back, giving Yacos a meaningful look before calmly replying, "No problem. We'll use the lab in the morning while Professor Yacos takes the afternoon."
"Fine," Yacos nodded arrogantly.
"That's settled then. I'll be coming by every day to oversee your progress." With that, the supervisor turned and left.
"Hmph!"
The person in charge, Yacos, was immediately met with discontented glares from everyone else before they turned and took their positions. Yacos, unfazed, entered the laboratory and began his work.
Time was indeed tight. Ten days meant he would have to put in extra hours!
As the days passed, Chen Xuan continued to research how to optimize the final step. Unfortunately, no matter how he optimized or communicated, he just couldn't break through that last critical value. This left Chen Xuan feeling frustrated to the brink of madness.
Then came a call from Zhang Cuifang, which caught him by surprise.
"Son," her voice sounded a bit flustered on the other end of the line. "Have you been bullying a girl? A rather attractive girl named Farm has been calling me in tears these past few days, asking about you."
