He gave Chen Xuan's shoulder a hard punch, expressing his dissatisfaction. "What's wrong with you? You go out to have fun without taking me along? Do you know how I've been these past few days?"
Chen Xuan raised his hands in surrender and laughed, "I'm not going out to have fun; I'm out handling business!"
"I don't care!" Jin Xiong raised an eyebrow, pretending to be angry. "Next time you go out, you must take me with you!"
"Alright, alright, I got it!" Chen Xuan chuckled helplessly and agreed to Jin Xiong's request.
Satisfied, Jin Xiong patted Chen Xuan's shoulder.
Chen Xuan led Jin Xiong and Watermelon Demon toward the Chicken Coop. Along the way, he casually asked Jin Xiong, "By the way, did you finish the tasks I assigned you?"
"All done," Jin Xiong replied, thumping his chest with a grin. "You can trust me with business matters. I've already built the third Chicken Coop, and I've also asked your mother to buy the chicks."
"I even bought ten healthy cows; there’s no problem there."
"That's good to hear." Chen Xuan nodded. He had specifically instructed Jin Xiong not to interrupt the development of the Farm and to remember to continue expanding the scale of the Chicken Coop and the number of cows in the Cattle Shed. Jin Xiong had met his expectations and handled everything beautifully.
Pleased, Chen Xuan nodded again and said with a smile, "Next, I plan to build a few duck houses and sheep pens near the Chicken Coop to further enrich the ecological integrity of the Farm. If possible, I might even raise a group of pigs."
"That sounds great!"
Jin Xiong shrugged noncommittally. After all, the environment at Farm was exceptional; no matter what Chen Xuan wanted to raise, it could be easily managed and done well.
Chen Xuan nodded, suddenly recalling something. He asked, "Has Old Xin come looking for me recently?"
This is quite strange, Jin Xiong said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. Old Xin did come by once, but he looked unwell—worse than the last time we met! A celestial being shouldn't look this bad. So, I suspect something might have happened to Old Xin.
Did something happen to Old Xin? Chen Xuan fell silent upon hearing this. After a while, he spoke in a low voice, "Jin Xiong, how much do you know about Old Xin?"
Him? Not much, Jin Xiong shrugged and replied casually. I'm the Demon King of the Demon Realm; he's just a mere Celestial Messenger—how could he catch my eye? However, when I was briefly imprisoned in the Celestial Realm, I did hear a secret about Old Xin.
A secret? Chen Xuan raised an eyebrow in curiosity and asked, "What secret?"
Hehe. Jin Xiong grinned mischievously. He glanced around to ensure no one else was listening before whispering, "I heard that Old Xin's wife isn't a celestial being at all—she's a snake demon!"
A snake demon?
Chen Xuan was taken aback and exclaimed, "Is it really that thrilling?"
Jin Xiong wore a strange smile and replied, "You have no idea! I was almost dumbfounded when I first heard it."
Despite Old Xin's seemingly honest and simple demeanor, it turned out he had quite a taste for the unusual. Jin Xiong's face was filled with a mischievous grin.
Chen Xuan shook his head with a smile. This was genuine emotion, unrelated to race. He admired Old Xin's decision. The current situation between the Celestial Realm and the Demon Realm made it clear that celestial beings and demons were not so easy to get along with. For Old Xin to make such a choice was truly the mark of a True Man!
He secretly calculated in his mind that when Old Xin appeared next, he would definitely ask what had happened and see if he could be of help. As he pondered, he noticed they were approaching Chicken Coop.
Chen Xuan lifted his head and casually scanned the surroundings. Suddenly, his body trembled violently as he stared in shock at a patch of land not far away. Bewildered, he asked, "What happened there? Who did this?"
Coughing lightly, Jin Xiong quickly interjected, "My lord, I assure you, this is definitely not my doing!"
Chen Xuan nodded in confusion, turning his gaze back to the distant land.
