Chen Xuan put down his chopsticks and looked up at Ye Xiao, his eyes filled with a hint of excitement.
"Oh! Just now!" Ye Xiao scratched his head awkwardly and pointed at the Gene Profile on the table, smiling. "I saw this and thought you were going to practice."
"Practice?" Chen Xuan stood up, picked up the Gene Profile from the table, and gazed intently at Ye Xiao. "Do you recognize this thing?"
"Yes!" Ye Xiao nodded enthusiastically. "When we demons practice, we absorb the Spiritual Energy from the heavens and earth into our bodies, stimulating a certain spot on this profile to open the door to cultivation!"
Ye Xiao spoke casually, but Chen Xuan raised an eyebrow in surprise. He hadn't expected that the demons' method of cultivation was like this! It was quite similar to the radiation genetics that Chen Xuan was about to work on.
Chen Xuan glanced meaningfully at Ye Xiao, contemplated for a moment, and finally let out a slight sigh.
"What a pity," he said. "The demons from the Farm were all sealed of their powers when they were sent here. Whether it's Jin or Qing Yao, I've looked into them thoroughly; they can hardly use any spells at all."
Ye Xiao was probably in the same situation. Otherwise, Chen Xuan wouldn't mind letting him try using some spells. Perhaps there would be unexpected surprises.
"What a pity," Chen Xuan sighed again as he casually tossed aside the Gene Profile and muttered, "It's too bad you don't have any powers; otherwise, you could help me with something."
Chen Xuan continued eating.
Not long after, he heard the voice of Professor Li Hong from outside.
"Xiao Chen, are you free right now?"
"Professor Li Hong, is there something you need?"

"I'll be right there."
Putting down his bowl and chopsticks, Chen Xuan stood up and left the laboratory.
Soon, the laboratory was left with only Ye Xiao.
Ye Xiao picked up the Gene Profile on the table, recalling what Chen Xuan had just said. A glimmer of insight flashed in his eyes as he scanned the room. His gaze quickly locked onto the Corn Kernel on the plate, and he suddenly thought that the Gene Profile in his hand must be related to corn.
"Magical stimulation?" Ye Xiao murmured, a strange smile creeping onto his lips. "Oh, you might be mistaken, my lord. I do possess magical powers; don't underestimate the Cattle Fly Clan!"
After a pause, Ye Xiao glanced at the Gene Profile and casually picked up a kernel of corn. A faint glow surged toward the corn in his mind.
Closing his eyes, an endless Gene Chain began to materialize in his mind. At a certain position within the genes, a soft light was emanating—a gene fragment mutated by Outer Space Radiation that could significantly increase corn yield.
"I found you."
Ye Xiao muttered to himself. He channeled the energy within his body, directing it forcefully toward the glowing spot, stimulating it with precision and intensity.
Time seemed to stretch on indefinitely until the area he had focused on suddenly burst forth with a rich light, as if it had been activated.
It worked.
Ye Xiao withdrew his right hand at just the right moment, a faint smile gracing his lips as he placed the Corn Kernel on Chen Xuan's desk.
With a chuckle, Ye Xiao hummed a little tune and strode out of the laboratory.
After a while, Chen Xuan entered the lab with a furrowed brow. He had just been summoned by Minister Zhou, who informed him that time was running short.
The Eve One project from Monsanto Group had caused a significant stir worldwide.
