"Alright, alright, big brother, you get up too!"
"Alright, alright, my lord, let’s all get up together."
Chen Xuan's eyes twitched slightly at the commotion. He turned to Jin, who was looking at the Strange Fish with an expression of disbelief and a hint of fear.
"What is the origin of this Kun?" Chen Xuan whispered.
Jin took a deep breath and replied solemnly, "Five hundred years ago, there was a demon known as Kun that flew from the southern part of the Demon Realm to the northern part. It soared for three days and nights, devouring countless demons along the way. This catastrophe severely weakened the Demon Realm and ultimately led to a war between the two realms."
As he spoke, Jin's expression grew somber. He looked at the Strange Fish and said earnestly, "If this Strange Fish is indeed that Kun from five hundred years ago, my lord, we are incredibly fortunate."
"Oh?" Chen Xuan raised an eyebrow and glanced down at the Strange Fish on the ground. He couldn't fathom how a creature that had devoured millions of demons in the Demon Realm could be connected to this timid Strange Fish before him. The more he looked, the more impossible it seemed! It must be just a coincidence.
He turned to Kun and said, "Since you’re here now, just stay put. You won’t be going back anytime soon."
Kun quickly smiled ingratiatingly, "Thank you, my lord! Thank you!"
"Don’t call me ‘my lord’ like them; just ‘my lord’ will do."
"Thank you, my lord! Thank you!" Kun joyfully spun around in circles.
Chen Xuan shook his head and stood up, heading outside. The Old Village Chief had just called him, speaking in a mysterious tone without revealing much, insisting that Chen Xuan come over. Since he had some free time now, Chen Xuan grabbed some fruit and eggs and leisurely made his way to the Old Village Chief's house.
At the Farm, after Chen Xuan decided to take in Kun, Jin He and Ye Xiao immediately packed up and turned back to their own business. Kun was ultimately handed over to the Watermelon Demon. The Watermelon Demon didn’t mind Kun at all; he placed Kun on his shoulder while explaining the situation at the Farm and cautioning Kun about what he needed to pay attention to.
Throughout it all, Kun’s expression remained dazed. He was witnessing rare monsters, the Formation Jade Plate from the celestial realm, the Qingmu Divine Tree, and the legendary Holy Spirit Lake. Most astonishingly, he saw the deer that had recently stirred up quite a commotion.
When the deer joyfully hopped past him, Kun felt like crying: “This deer, this deer, how is it here?”
The Watermelon Demon curiously asked, “What? You know about this deer?”
“Of course I do!” Kun replied with a look of grievance. “To find this deer, Lu Jianxian ventured into the Chaotic Sea alone and killed the ten strongest sea beasts in one go. I heard that Lu Jianxian even stormed into the celestial realm, fighting from the Southern Heavenly Gate to the Northern Heavenly Gate for three days and nights without blinking.”
At this point, Kun shivered suddenly: “If he knew the deer was here, none of us would survive.”
“Oh,” said the Watermelon Demon nonchalantly as he shrugged. “I actually hope Lu Jianxian shows up here; this place is no ordinary location—once someone arrives, they can’t leave.”
“I really want to see whether Lu Jianxian is formidable or if this place is,” he added.
“You're still too young,” Kun shook his head with an air of disappointment, looking at him as if he were hopeless.
The eyes darted around, scanning the surroundings of the Farm. Kun was already secretly calculating how to escape from this place. He had no intention of waiting to die alongside these fools! At that moment, Chen Xuan finally arrived at the Old Village Chief's house.
