As Jia Xingliang emerged, a group of socialites from Hong Kong Island and members of the Feng Shui community began to murmur among themselves. Jiang Chen also turned to look at Jia Xingliang, who today wore a dark long robe and blue cloth shoes, with a long sword strapped to his back. This sword was the Seven Star Sword, retrieved from the Artifact Tomb at Eight Immortals Ridge. The fact that Jia Xingliang could wield this sword, still infused with a malevolent aura, indicated that this Southeast Asian Feng Shui Master was no ordinary opponent.
Ignoring the chatter around him, Jia Xingliang approached the ship's railing, resting one hand on the guard while gazing intently ahead. The cruise ship and fishing boats were separated by hundreds of meters, yet when his gaze met that of the figure in black robes, it felt as if two currents of electricity collided.
"Tu Li, thirty years ago you were defeated by my master. How dare you come here to provoke me today?" Jia Xingliang called out, his voice strong and resonant.
"Ha! Is your master afraid or dead? How could he let you take his place?" the black-robed man, Tu Li, sneered.
"You don't need to worry about my master; I will take it upon myself to resolve this matter," Jia Xingliang replied calmly.
"You? You’re just asking for death. Thirty years ago, your master used underhanded tactics to defeat me. Now that I’ve returned, I am not the same as before. Your master wouldn’t stand a chance against me now, let alone you," Tu Li scoffed, dismissing Jia Xingliang entirely. After all, he was of the same generation as Gu Yun Nan; now that Gu Yun Nan had sent his disciple to challenge him, it felt like an insult.
"You speak arrogantly. The magic of Southeast Asia is merely trivial compared to our Huaxia magic. My master defeated you fairly thirty years ago; today, I will do the same," Jia Xingliang declared proudly. Regardless of whether he could win or not, he needed to maintain his confidence.
"Then I'll kill you first and then your master," Tu Li laughed derisively.
"Enough talk! Let’s go ashore; this time you won’t have the luck you had thirty years ago. Black Dragon Island will be your burial ground," Jia Xingliang shouted angrily.
Inside, he felt a surge of excitement. Thirty years ago, his master Gu Yun Nan had battled Tu Li on Black Dragon Island while he was present. That confrontation left a deep impression on him; he had always longed for a day when he could engage in a full-fledged battle with a Master of Magic. Only by fighting against true experts could he break through the bottleneck in his own magic practice and advance further.
This time, it was his master who had given him this opportunity, and it was also due to his impressive magical skills. Without exceptional talent, how could one attempt such feats? Jia Xingliang was Gu Yun Nan’s most prized disciple; if Gu Yun Nan did not have confidence in him, he would never have sent him into such a dangerous situation.
Magic originated from Huaxia, and the Feng Shui techniques of Hong Kong Island could be considered the essence of Huaxia magic. Practitioners from Hong Kong Island often looked down upon even domestic magic users from Huaxia, let alone those from Southeast Asia.
Tu Li was indeed a genius in magic, skilled in various Xuanmen arts from Southeast Asia and possessing strange abilities related to witchcraft and sorcery. However, thirty years ago Gu Yun Nan had already seen through him. Although three decades had passed, it was likely that Tu Li still relied on old tricks.
