With the sound of the horn and the heavy drums echoing, a passionate and warlike melody filled the air. The scene shifted to three couples standing in a row, with Anna leading the way, her wild voice ringing out:
"Dragon bone ship, cutting through endless waves,
From barren peaks to green plains.
Every sight is a new beginning,
Wait for me to rise and rule the world!"
Just as it was Xu Li's turn to sing, the video abruptly went black, and bold letters appeared on the screen: "Song Premiere, Stay Tuned!"
Goodness, Brother Xu was really getting into it. Anna grinned as she shared the video on her account and pinned it to the top. Then she turned off her phone and snuggled up to her increasingly rounded wife, drifting off to sleep. Meanwhile, those night owls online perked up; missing persons had surprisingly pulled off a big surprise for them without a word.
Those who had unfollowed previously began to follow Anna again after being drawn back in by her charm. The number of fans skyrocketed; after all, she was the only one on the platform writing and singing her own songs as a short video creator. They were eager to see what this talented creator could do.
By noon the next day, Xu Li returned home early. He found both wives preening in front of the mirror, discussing their plans to shoot a Viking-themed transformation video. The first half was already filmed; they just needed to finish their makeup and asked him not to disturb them while they sorted out lunch on their own.
"How does this video look?" Eva asked as she approached Xu Li, her carefully styled face glowing. She sat on his lap and opened the finished video. Now a mother of three, Eva wore a light pink fitted sweater paired with light blue skinny jeans. She held her phone in front of a full-length mirror, swaying and posing, showcasing her stunning figure.
The background music was inspired by his recording at Heroic Spirit Hall; he had edited it himself. The deep Viking battle cries created an immersive atmosphere. In the video, Eva sported a ponytail and had painted her forehead black, including part of her cheekbones. She then adorned herself with small white stars and drew a vertical black line on her chin.
She had also changed into a black mink coat and added some metallic accessories from who knows where. In her left hand, she held a wooden shield that Xu Li had made for their eldest son, while in her right hand she swung an axe rhythmically in time with the battle cries in the background.
"What do you think? Isn’t it impressive?" Eva pouted playfully, urging him to compliment her. Xu Li chuckled as he began removing the clips holding her mink coat in place one by one. "This coat was specially bought for you last year before New Year’s from Northeast China; it cost over a hundred thousand! Are you really going to treat it like this?"
"Just tell me if it looks good!"
Eva pouted again, shaking his shoulder playfully. Xu Li gave her a thumbs up: "It looks great!"
Anna hummed a little tune as she entered the living room, clearly having finished preening herself as well. Seeing her smiling husband, she rolled her eyes playfully: "Misha, let’s shoot a transformation video for you too!"
"Me?"
Xu Li raised his hand to point at himself but quickly shook his head: "I’m not that big of a person anymore; I don’t want to play with such childish things."
