Your Uncle was always busy, yet in the end, he hardly made any money. I couldn't understand what he found so amusing; we should just focus on our own meals. 0

Yelena poured herself a glass of fruit wine. Xu Weixia didn’t know what brand it was, only that it was a light purple drink with a strong blueberry flavor. He served rice to Yelena and Angelina before sitting down to eat. 0

“Auntie, I’m going home with my brother tomorrow,” Xu Weixia said as he placed a piece of Sweet and Sour Pork Tenderloin on Angelina’s plate. “You should come back with me next summer vacation. You are really good-looking, unlike my dad and brother; their faces are all hairy and ugly. Mom wants to meet you.” 0

Yelena nodded after taking a sip of her fruit wine. “That sounds good. His kids come to my house and help us cook like little babysitters. It’s only right for Angelina to join us. No need to wait until next summer; let her come back with you tomorrow.” 0

“Really?” Xu Weixia looked at Yelena with wide eyes, surprised. 0

Yelena chuckled at his silly expression. “I have no reason to lie to you. I’ve seen your parents’ short videos, and I must say your mother is really beautiful.” 0

“Hehe,” Xu Weixia scratched his head. “Auntie, you’re beautiful too; marrying Uncle seems like a bit of a loss for you.” 0

Angelina suddenly burst out laughing and playfully slapped Xu Weixia’s arm. “If Dad and Brother heard you say that, they would be so mad!” 0

“I-I...” He glanced at Yelena, who wore an amused smile, and mumbled softly, “I was just speaking the truth.” 0

“Alright, enough chatter; let’s eat,” Yelena said with a smile, changing the topic as they continued their meal. She shared many embarrassing stories from Angelina’s childhood, making the little girl pout and act coy: “Mom!” 0

After dinner, Xu Weixia washed the dishes and spent some time watching TV with the mother-daughter duo before saying his goodbyes. Angelina happily ran back to her room to pack her things while Yelena leaned against the doorframe, watching her daughter’s joyful demeanor and reminiscing about her own youth. 0

She remembered being about the same age as her daughter when she chose her current husband during a time of youthful infatuation—a man ridiculed by others as an orphan without prospects. What had seemed like a joke turned into reality when, before she turned twenty-seven, a Zhong Ren found her husband working at a gas station. 0

With his help, her husband started his own energy company and began expanding aggressively. The term "oligarch," once derogatory, soon became associated with him, but he didn’t care at all. Having been poor for so long, he would only scoff when real money finally came in: “So what if I’m an oligarch? As long as I can make money!” 0

Around nine o'clock that night, Alexander stumbled home reeking of alcohol and collapsed onto the living room sofa. “Darling, pour me a glass of water.” 0

Yelena, applying a face mask, walked into the kitchen to pour him a cup of hot tea. “Can’t you drink less?” 0

“It’s fine,” he replied. “That old coot Zhukov dared to challenge me; I won’t rest until I’ve knocked him down.” 0

He took a sip of hot tea. "Hani Gula's father has made quite a fortune today. I had someone buy all the cattle and sheep he could sell." 0

"Can you eat all that?" 0

Yelena, sitting beside her husband, raised her hand to massage his temples. Alexander chuckled, "I've already sent them over to Ivan. I like him, so I donated this batch of cattle and sheep to the warriors over there. They can use it for extra meals, and I can earn some goodwill in return." 0
