Your father has been incredibly busy lately.
Eva said as she drove, "Our family just bought a new batch of Angus cattle. Your father mentioned that our previous beef cattle were from a local bloodline that has been cultivated for decades. This time, we spent a lot to introduce bloodlines from other regions. I heard the meat yield and flavor are much better than what we have here."
"Isn't Angus Angus? Aren't they all the same?" Xu Weihua, sitting in the co-driver's seat, asked, somewhat confused.
Eva shook her head. "It's different. Our family is going to start planting corn next year. Your father specifically found someone in Huaxia to buy a large amount of equipment and seeds, all high in cold resistance. From now on, our family's Angus beef will be fed with corn."
"So by the end of next year, we'll be able to eat this new breed of beef?" Xu Weixia, who shared Eva's love for food, chimed in.
Eva nodded. "We won't even have to wait until next year. When your father brought in the breeding cattle, he also bought a few mature cows. We can eat it as soon as we get back. I can guarantee that when Angelina shows up in front of him, your father will definitely slaughter one of those Wagyu cows for hot pot or grilling in the evening."
"Wagyu too?" Xu Weihua perked up immediately. "I've had Wagyu with my brother Moscow before; it was really delicious. Does our family have it too?"
"Yes! Your father introduced quite a few Wagyu breeding cattle this time," Eva replied.
"That's amazing!"
Xu Weixia happily hugged Angelina and kissed her cheek. "When we get back, just tell my dad you want to eat Wagyu; he’ll definitely slaughter one to treat you."
"Isn't that a bit much?" Angelina said shyly. "I just got here and I'm already making requests; Uncle will think less of me. I don't want that."
Eva glanced at the rearview mirror, her lips curling into a satisfied smile. "Don't worry; Auntie will make sure my Angelina gets the freshest beef."
"Thank you, Auntie."
Angelina's two words made her blush, and the atmosphere in the car was light and cheerful. Before they knew it, they had driven into the yard. Eva awkwardly turned the steering wheel several times before parking the car in the newly built garage.
To make space for the garage, Da Hei's doghouse, which had been there for over a decade, was torn down. It was so angry that it hadn't acknowledged that useless eater lately and spent all its time sulking in the boiler room.
Holding Angelina's little hand, Eva led her into the living room where Xu Li was chatting casually on the sofa. He paused for a moment and asked, "Whose girl is this?"
Angelina shyly replied, "Uncle, I'm Nikola's girlfriend, Angelina."
"Please sit down; I'll get you some tea."
Xu Li's face lit up with joy as he quickly invited Angelina to take a seat. Just then, Xu Weihua and his brother walked in. Xu Li waved his hand dismissively at them: "Move aside! Can't you see I'm going to get tea?"
The two brothers stared blankly at Old Father before grinning and heading into the kitchen. After greeting Old Andrei, Angelina was pulled by Eva to sit on the sofa while she watched two hamsters sleeping soundly in the corner of the living room.
Eva hurriedly stepped forward and gently shook Xiong Er awake, grabbing its round ears and pulling it to the sofa. She patted its enormous head and said, "Sleep here."
With a huff, Xiong Er woke up grumpily, snorting loudly and preparing to let out a roar. However, upon receiving a stern glare from Eva, it immediately lay down obediently on the floor, resting its chin on its paws with a disgruntled expression. Eva placed her foot on Xiong Er's back and said to Angelina, "Just like this, put your feet on it. It's warm."
