Tamishova had two children who played nearby all day, and it was understood that no one could harm the children or her. Xu Li patted the Female Tiger on the head and introduced Tamishova and her two children to her. The Female Tiger approached, sniffed the children, and gently poked one of their little faces with her spiky tongue before returning to Xu Li's side.
Tamishova was Alexander's wife, and the two children were her grandchildren. She nervously pulled Xu Li aside and asked, "Is Makarov really okay?"
"Don't worry. If something were to happen, it would have happened last winter," Xu Li reassured her, giving her a gentle hug. "After all, they've been raised for a few months now. As long as the kids don’t provoke her intentionally, everything will be fine." After saying this, he ruffled the hair of the two Little Guys before taking the Female Tiger to the next house.
Once they finished introducing everyone, Xu Li led the Female Tiger to the Small Farm. The cows, sheep, pigs, and horses here were communal property of the entire village. Even the more than ten households that had moved into the village recently had come to Xu Li for their share of livestock.
After all, there were still seven old villagers who could no longer do heavy labor due to their age. The younger generation was strong and capable, helping them with the hard work while also earning their share of income. They had no objections; on the contrary, they were grateful because it meant that the young newcomers were essentially supporting their retirement.
The forest behind this pasture still had plenty of game in summer. "If you and your cubs can’t catch anything," Xu Li said, "I’ll prepare something for you at night."
The Female Tiger disagreed with Xu Li’s last statement; how could she not catch anything in summer? What a joke!
When Xu Li returned to the yard with the Female Tiger, he found Xiao Bai with two Tiger Cubs, barking loudly beside Da Hei. Da Hei was quite pleased with his protégé's learning attitude: "That's right! When you encounter strangers, you need to bark loudly to let your owner know guests have arrived. While barking, you should also observe them to prevent any bad behavior like stealing or fighting."
Xiao Bai let out a quack-like bark upon seeing Xu Li return. He even stuck out his tongue and wagged his tail like Da Hei as he ran over to Xu Li. This made Xu Li’s face twitch uncontrollably as he picked up Xiao Bai like a child and pretended to kick Da Hei. "Can’t you teach them something useful? All I know is this; do you want me to teach them how to hunt?"
Da Hei rolled his eyes and went back inside on his own. The Female Tiger licked her cubs continuously on their heads and bodies while Xu Li set Xiao Bai down and headed to the kitchen. He tossed some thawed offal and lamb fetus into a large stainless steel basin. "Dahua is ready for dinner."
The Female Tiger roared in acknowledgment and slowly led her cubs into the kitchen. Upon seeing a large basin of food, she buried her head in it and began eating heartily while the Tiger Cubs mimicked her by tearing into beef liver, making quite a mess.
Xu Li closed the cellar door and washed each potato and apple he had taken out before placing them in a basket to dry. He then tossed the thawed offal and scraps into another stainless steel basin and moved it into a corner of the kitchen before calling over two bored hamsters from the living room.
Suddenly, the Female Tiger Dahua growled lowly as she stared at Xiong Da who had just entered the kitchen. Xiong Da glanced at her but continued on his way to Xu Li’s side. Meanwhile, Xiong Er defiantly opened his mouth and roared back at Dahua before swatting at one of the Tiger Cubs that was wagging its tail while eating beef liver, causing it to stumble before swaggering over to eat beside Xu Li instead.
