"I want to marry Auntie," he quickly stepped forward, pulling Diana behind him, and nervously asked, "I earned all this money myself. Kamila is my girlfriend now, and in a couple of years, when we’re old enough, I want to get a marriage certificate with her. Auntie, do you agree?"
"Are you serious?" Oleg asked.
Vika waved her hand, pulling him down beside her. "Child, you’re still young. A beautiful romance can blind you. Once you get married and have children, you’ll be busy with work. Kamila might still want to continue competing on the ice. You could end up living apart often. Can you endure that kind of life?"
"Your father is from Huaxia, and you’re still a boy. Boys mature slower than girls. Our foreign girls age quickly. By the time Kamila loses her looks, will you still love her wholeheartedly?"
She fixed her gaze on Xu Weihua. "People aren’t games, child. You need to think carefully. Kamila is my daughter; I need to consider her future."
"I understand, Auntie," Xu Weihua said as he peeked at Kamila, who was shyly picking at her fingers.
"I’ve thought it through before coming here," he said seriously to Vika. "My brother and I will release an album every year and participate in necessary events. The rest of the time, I’ll be at home."
"If Kamila wants to continue with Hua Hua, I will support her and take our child to watch every one of her competitions. I may not have the gift of words, but maintaining a family isn’t easy. However, I will do my utmost to give Kamila enough love and space to showcase her talents."
The living room fell into a brief silence until Vika suddenly laughed. She stood up and took Xu Weihua’s and Kamila’s hands, gently placing them together. "Remember what you said, child. Auntie hopes you truly mean it."
Xu Weihua tightly held Kamila's small hand. "I will!"
That night, he didn’t stay there but took Kamila back to his apartment. As he carried his bag inside, he saw his younger brother Li Xiang snuggled up with Angelina on the sofa.
"Hey! You’re back so late! What were you up to?"
Xu Weixia wrapped his arms around Angelina but paused when he noticed the bag in his older brother's hand and saw Kamila peeking out from behind him with a shy smile.
"Wow!" Angelina happily pushed her boyfriend away and got up to hug Kamila, leading her into Xu Weihua’s room.
Xu Lao Er smirked and patted his older brother’s shoulder. "You’re moving fast!"
"Her mom agreed, and her dad didn’t have any objections," Xu Weihua grinned foolishly while scratching his head.
Xu Weixia raised an eyebrow at his older brother. "So what’s the plan? Are you going to date for a while or just go for it?"
"Just go for it!" His older brother nodded firmly. "Our family doesn’t have that many romantic entanglements."
"Exactly! We should learn from Dad; being faithful is what makes a real man!"
Xu Lao Er chuckled. "I’ve got some good news for you! My brother-in-law was transferred to the Kremlin a few days ago! That’s where the Emperor works! I even asked him to get me an autographed photo from the Emperor!"
"No way! Is that true?"
Xu Weihua became interested: "Have him make another one for me, and I'll frame it later."
"Sure, sure," Xu Lao Er replied, waving his hand dismissively. He looked Xu Weihua up and down, grinning smugly. "I ordered a car yesterday—a sky blue top-of-the-line model. You don't have a car yet, do you? Hahaha!"
