"Hey Oleg, can we take a picture together?"
Trusova saw Xu Weihua leaning against the car with his hands in his pockets and immediately ran over with a cheerful smile. Xu Weihua smiled slightly, nodded, and replied, "Sure, I’ll take a couple of photos with you."
"Oh my gosh, you’re not developing a crush on me, are you?"
Trusova's expression was overly exaggerated and animated. Xu Weihua chuckled, "It's my little sister; she's a fan of yours."
"Wait a minute, I remember Kamila saying you only have one sister who likes boxing and flirting. No way!"
Seeing her raise an eyebrow playfully, Xu Weihua laughed, "She's actually my parents' goddaughter, Irina. Here’s her photo; isn’t she beautiful?"
Xu Weihua handed her his phone and pointed at the family photo, introducing each person one by one: "This is You are really good-looking, unlike my dad and brother; their faces are all hairy and ugly. These two are My Mom. The doll-like girl is Irina."
In the photo, Xu Li sat in the middle while Zhuo Ya leaned over to wrap her arms around his neck. On either side were Anna and Eva. Xu Weihua stood behind with his four siblings—he was next to Xu Weixia, snuggling up to Kamila and Angelina. Peter had Lisa in his arms on the side, while Irina was held by Eva. Everyone smiled happily at the camera.
"What about those two chubby guys?"
Trusova pointed at the two round-faced boys behind Anna and Eva. "Are they your brothers too?"
"Yeah, Lao Si and Old Five. But they’re at my grandparents' place. Without my dad around to supervise them, they eat a lot and don’t like to move around much, so they got chubby."
After explaining, Xu Weihua took pictures of Trusova with his phone and then snapped a few selfies with her. While they were taking pictures, Anna and Kamila walked out of the door chatting and laughing. Xu Weihua exchanged glances with Anna; they paused for a moment before nodding and smiling at each other.
Trusova's eyes darted around before she snatched Xu Weihua's phone and pulled Kamila aside, claiming she wanted to take a picture for Irina. Meanwhile, Xu Weihua took a deep breath to adjust his mindset as he approached the petite Anna. He opened his arms and gently embraced her, patting her back before smiling, "Looks like you're doing well."
"Thank you."
Anna caught a whiff of a familiar scent that she hadn’t experienced in a while. Looking at Xu Weihua’s increasingly handsome face made her nose tingle slightly as she forced a smile. "Are you here to pick up Kamila?"
"Yes! It’s rare for you all to have a holiday here. Today is actually my sister-in-law's birthday; I’m taking her to the birthday party."
The two fell into silence for a moment as Trusova released Kamila from her embrace and stepped forward to hand the phone back to Xu Weihua. She linked arms with him and waved goodbye to Xu Weihua, saying, "We’re leaving now, Da Xing. Baka."
Xu Weihua waved back at the two of them before spinning around with Kamila in his arms and kissing her on her little round face. "Let’s go eat at your place first; Auntie is resting today and has already prepared dinner at home."
"Okay!"
Kamila happily climbed into the Co-Driver seat. Once Xu Weihua got into the car, she said excitedly, "Since it’s Angelina’s birthday today, after dinner let’s pick out some gifts at the mall?"
"Let’s do it tomorrow morning instead; you haven’t spent time with Auntie in a while. Tonight let’s just stay home with them."
Xu Weihua fastened his seatbelt and pressed on the gas pedal as they merged into the distant flow of traffic.
"Why can’t I meet your grandfather?"
While waiting at the traffic light, Xu Weixia turned her head to look at Angelina, who was sipping milk tea in the passenger seat. Angelina wrinkled her nose slightly and said, "My grandfather has a really strange temper. Once we’re married, we’ll have plenty of time to see him. He hasn’t been in a good mood lately, and I’m worried you might get scolded, which is why I didn’t let you meet him."
