“Who are you talking to again?” 0
“I know! It’s you!” 0
“It’s all your fault!” 0

Bernadette suddenly grabbed my hand, her sharp nails digging deep into my flesh. 0
“You bitch! You demon! I’m calling the police! I’ll have them arrest you!” 0

Bernadette screamed hysterically, fumbling for her phone on the bed. 0
I watched her in a frenzy, feeling a hint of amusement. 0
I had just helped her get rid of those annoying guys, and now she wanted to call the police on me? 0
If the police could handle Rogue, what did they need us, the Moon Pattern Master, for? 0
But I had no intention of stopping her. 0
If the police came, it would be perfect; they could take care of her mess and spare me the trouble. 0
As for the surveillance footage, I trusted Luke Dunphy to handle it well. 0
He was a professional. 0

I shook off Bernadette’s hand and said coldly, “Go ahead.” 0
I watched as Bernadette dialed 911, incoherently describing how I was “abusing” her and how I was the embodiment of “evil.” 0

Just as Bernadette hung up, Luke Dunphy became alert, pulling me behind him and whispering, “They’re here.” 0
I followed his gaze to the window. 0
A pale hand with dark, sharp nails suddenly clawed at the thirteenth-floor window! 0
Then another hand appeared, followed by a disheveled head. 0

I recognized his face—Andy Bailey. 0
His hair was unkempt, matted with dried blood, his eye sockets sunken and his features twisted; he looked like a madman. 0
Andy Bailey struggled to climb into the room, swaying as he stood up, his gaze vacant as if searching for something. 0
Finally, his eyes locked onto Bernadette. 0

He completely ignored me and Luke Dunphy, moving toward Bernadette with a blank expression and stiff movements. 0
“Woman… woman… I’m here… Hehehe… my Luna…” 0

He mumbled incessantly, emitting a chilling laugh as drool dripped from the corner of his mouth, forming a shiny line down his chin. 0
“Ah! Rogue! It’s him! Emily! Please help me! I was wrong! I won’t seduce your boyfriend anymore! Please! I’ll do anything!” 0

Bernadette screamed in terror, desperately trying to retreat, but her frail body was unable to move. Andy Bailey stepped in front of her, gripping her neck and lifting her off the ground, her feet dangling helplessly. 0

Bernadette struggled fiercely, kicking her legs wildly, gasping for air as fear and despair filled her eyes. She futilely cursed at me, “Emily! You won’t die a good death! I’ll haunt you even as a ghost! Ah…” 0

Andy Bailey leaned in greedily and forcefully kissed Bernadette's lips. Her struggles ceased abruptly; her body began to wither visibly, skin losing its luster and turning gray and wrinkled. In less than a minute, she had transformed into a desiccated corpse, resembling a mummy drained of moisture. 0

Andy Bailey casually tossed Bernadette's dried-up body to the ground, extending his long tongue to lick his lips as if savoring a delicious dish. Then he suddenly turned his hollow gaze toward me. 0

“Woman… woman… so delicious…” His hoarse voice grated like sandpaper, sending chills down my spine. I shuddered as if being targeted by a hungry beast. 0

“Ha, daring to set your sights on Emily? Tired of living?” Luke Dunphy stood protectively in front of me, his gray-blue eyes glinting with cold light, claws extending from his fingertips sharp as knives. 0

The surrounding azure mist surged violently, forming the shadow of a massive wolf that let out a low growl. The temperature in the room plummeted, an overwhelming sense of pressure nearly stealing my breath away. He lunged at Andy Bailey with ferocity, ready to tear him apart. 0

Just then, an angry roar echoed from outside: “Stop! That’s my prey!” 0

A figure descended from the sky and landed before us. It was a werewolf clad in black leather, agile and powerful. No, more accurately, it was the Wolf Spirit. He emanated the same chilling aura as Luke Dunphy, though considerably weaker. Even so, I could tell he hailed from the underworld. 0

“What do you mean? Trying to steal my prey? I killed this one myself a month ago and have been waiting for the moonlight to condense…” The Wolf Spirit spoke coldly with impatience while facing away from us. 0

He slowly turned around, and upon seeing Luke Dunphy, he shrank back like a pup confronted by an Alpha, his fierce expression shifting to one of servility. “Lord Luke Dunphy! What are you doing here?” 0

He stammered, his eyes filled with fear. 0
"If I'm not here, your prey will move against those they shouldn't." 0
Luke Dunphy crossed his arms and snorted, a glint of danger flashing in his gray-blue eyes. 0
The Wolf Spirit trembled, looking at me through Luke Dunphy's gaze. 0
In an instant, he understood and quickly turned around, kicking Andy Bailey's corpse with righteous indignation as he cursed, 0
"You worthless thing! How dare you touch Lord Luke Dunphy's woman! You truly deserve to die! My lord, I'll take care of him right away!" 0
I was left bewildered. "What the hell? Luke Dunphy's woman? What is going on?" 0
I stared at Luke Dunphy, only to find that the corners of his mouth were nearly reaching his ears, looking surprisingly pleased, which left me even more speechless. 0
Luke Dunphy chuckled lightly, "You certainly know how to speak. But I must ask you, how did you end up in the human realm? You've got quite the nerve to leave the Underworld without permission; aren't you afraid of the Moon God’s wrath?" 0
The Wolf Spirit had no choice but to confess. 0
He wanted to quickly increase his power to be reincarnated. 0
In Hell, power represented devotion to the Moon God and could only be accumulated by completing tasks assigned by him. 0
His devotion was still far from enough to enter the Moon Temple and gain rebirth. 0
One day, while cleaning the library in Hell, he stumbled upon a book that detailed a method for rapidly gaining devotion—by devouring his own kind! 0
Since he couldn't defeat others in Hell and was under the Moon God's rule, he sneaked into the human realm and killed Andy Bailey. 0
Once Andy Bailey absorbed the moonlight of a living person, he could then consume Andy Bailey himself to quickly enhance his devotion. 0
"That's a wicked path! I can overlook your unauthorized entry into the human realm, but you’ve killed someone and disrupted the balance between our worlds; this cannot go unpunished." 0
As Luke Dunphy spoke, he waved his sleeve, and a ghostly blue mist instantly enveloped the entire hospital room. 0
Luke Dunphy was angry! But this powerful force deliberately avoided me. 0
Both the Wolf Spirit and Andy Bailey were pressed down to the ground by this force. 0
"I sentence you to give all your devotion to Andy Bailey and serve as a slave in Hell for eternity; do you have any objections?" 0
Luke Dunphy looked down at the Wolf Spirit with a cold tone that brooked no argument. 0
"I accept! I accept! I accept..." 0
The Wolf Spirit trembled as he repeatedly bowed his head. 0
Taking advantage of Andy Bailey being unable to move, I quickly stepped forward and took out the Yuewen Pen, swiftly carving intricate Moon Patterns onto him. 0
"Done." 0
As soon as I finished speaking, the Moon Patterns radiating Silver Radiance quickly merged into Andy Bailey's body before vanishing completely. 0

Meanwhile, Andy Bailey's rigid body ceased all movement, completely lifeless. In his lifetime, Andy hadn't committed any major sins; he had even supported a single-parent Omega. Coupled with his devotion to the Wolf Spirit, he should be able to reincarnate directly. 0

I sighed and walked over to Bernadette, marking her with the Moon Pattern. As for her, she would likely serve a long time in hell. 0

"That's a wrap!" I clapped my hands and moved to Luke Dunphy's side. 0

My work was done; now I just had to wait for Luke Dunphy to take their souls back to hell. Luke Dunphy tucked away the azure mist and returned to his usual playful demeanor. "Emily, I'll take them down now. I'll come back to play with you later. Don't miss me too much." 0

"Get lost! Who would miss you?" 0

"Sure, sure. When you become a ghost, we'll be together." 0

I could no longer tolerate his teasing and turned to leave. The rest was not my concern; Luke Dunphy would handle it well. 0

As soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs, the police arrived. I cooperated with their investigation. After assessment, it was determined that Bernadette and Andy Bailey had died of heart failure. 0

Luke Dunphy, being an old hand at this, had already restored Bernadette to her original appearance, so naturally, I had nothing to do with the case. 0

Later on, it seemed someone leaked information, and after Bernadette Gomez's passing, rumors about her chaotic private life spread like wildfire. The tabloids ran sensational headlines, vividly describing how she had used her body to climb the social ladder and maneuvered among various Alphas for resources. 0

It was said that she had even struck deals with executives at a television station in a bid for a permanent spot on a popular variety show. There were also reports of her having ambiguous relationships with multiple crew members during filming, including a married renowned director. 0

Even more shocking were the details of her dealings with Andy Bailey that came to light, including the "Moonlight Agreement" she had signed—an agreement that traded her lunar essence for opportunities to rise in status. 0

The exposure of this contract utterly destroyed Bernadette's public image, nailing her to the pillar of shame. Fans were left in shock, unfollowing her and turning against her; the once-goddess image crumbled overnight. 0

Endorsement brands rushed to sever ties with her, and her new songs went unnoticed. Bernadette's career plummeted after her death, transforming from a shining star into an object of scorn. 0

The Alphas who once surrounded her and sought favor now avoided her like the plague, fearing they might be tainted by the scandal. Her former glory faded like smoke in the wind; ultimately, Bernadette paid a heavy price for her greed and indulgence. 0

After her passing, the exposure of these scandals led to her disgrace and left her with a legacy of infamy. Perhaps this was the retribution for her abuse of lunar essence and violation of werewolf principles. 0

Years later, I had long since grown accustomed to my interactions with Luke Dunphy, this Wolf Spirit. 0

He still enjoys appearing by my side from time to time, under the pretense of "supervising work," but in reality, he just wants to bicker with me. 0

We would hunt Rogues together on nights when the moon was full, and after he completed his tasks, we would sit on the rooftop, sipping on our specially crafted Moonlight Wine while admiring the bright moonlight. 0

He would tease me about my terrible taste in partners, and I would mock him for being perpetually single. 0

"Emily, look at that star! Doesn't it remind you of the crooked line you drew last time when you were carving the Moon Pattern?" Luke Dunphy pointed to a twinkling star in the night sky, a soft blue mist rippling gently with his laughter. 0

"Shut up! That was your fault for suddenly appearing and scaring me!" I shot him an exaggerated glare, though I couldn't help but smile at the corners of my mouth. 0

"Alright, alright, my fault, my fault." 0

"As an apology, how about I treat you to the freshest Moon Dew tomorrow? What do you say?" He looked at me with a charming grin, his gray-blue eyes filled with warmth. 0

"That sounds more like it." I nodded in satisfaction. 0

Our interactions were easy and relaxed, like old friends. Despite him being a ghost and me being human, it didn't hinder us from forming a deep bond. He knew all my secrets and understood all my vulnerabilities. 0

He would silently accompany me when I was sad and share in my joy when I was happy. We had no grand vows or passionate love; instead, we shared a quiet understanding and warmth that flowed steadily over time. 0

Years later. 0

"Emily, hurry up and die! Then we can be together." Luke Dunphy suddenly blurted out without any context. 0

"Get lost! I'm only 49! You dead ghost!" I laughed and scolded him, yet a strange sweetness surged within me. 0
