Taki Sakonji had originally gone home to prepare his own meal. The sounds created by Li Yunqing caught his attention; they were neither loud nor soft, and certainly not the sound of chopping wood. After all, on a mountain where only one person resided, the night was typically quiet except for the occasional chirping of insects. Any sudden noise could easily draw one's attention.
Curious, Taki Sakonji stepped outside to investigate and found a structure resembling a forest cabin rising from the ground, deep in thought. Was there always a small house here? He felt puzzled as he peered through the window to see Li Yunqing and his companions decorating their new home. Shaking his head, he dismissed the notion that humans could possess such extraordinary abilities; it was more plausible that it was the work of a demon's Blood Demon Art.
Not to mention, he hadn’t sensed any demonic presence. Aside from Upper Moon demons, he felt no fear of Lower Moon demons, and since Li Yunqing and the others were aware of their own identities, it was unlikely they were demons. With that thought, Taki Sakonji returned home for dinner.
Meanwhile, Li Yunqing had been busy for a while and had mostly finished decorating the house. The place covered about two hundred square meters, with two floors: the lower level serving as the living area and the upper level designated for entertainment, with just one bedroom located on the second floor. Initially, Li Yunqing had considered creating two bedrooms, but Sera and Lilu Lu insisted on sharing a room with him, rendering the other bedroom unnecessary.
In the living room, Li Yunqing set out the prepared food on the dining table. The three of them enjoyed a hearty meal before settling down on the sofa. They turned on the television, which had no channels but could only display some dramas converted from novels that Li Yunqing had downloaded.
Li Yunqing had set up multiple Novel Conversion Devices, all programmed in smart mode to switch between different novels. The bizarre stories from various novels provided ample entertainment for the three of them for quite some time. Currently playing was a certain fan fiction that captivated all three viewers.
Li Yunqing sat between Sera and Lilu Lu. While both girls were engrossed in the show, they occasionally reached for some snacks on the coffee table—one moment eating for themselves and the next feeding Li Yunqing. Before long, they finished an episode.
Both girls stretched lazily afterward.
Li Yunqing patted Sera and Lilu Lu on their heads affectionately.
"Alright, go take a shower. You all need to wake up early tomorrow."
"Huh? Is that so?"
"Yes, Urin Taki has to get up quite early. I know you all are in great shape, so after breakfast, I'll definitely come find you for training."
"I see. Then let's shower and get some sleep."
The three of them entered the bathroom, which was spacious—about thirty square meters—with a large wooden bathtub taking up a significant portion of the space. The bathtub was big enough for all three of them to soak together.
"Ah, it feels so good to relax in the bath after exercising."
"It really does."
The water in the bathtub was special; it was Spirit Water, a relatively common type of spiritual liquid. Its effects included relieving fatigue and providing some skin whitening benefits. For those practicing cultivation, it could also slowly enhance their abilities. As for the other effects, they weren't sure if they were true, but at least the fatigue had vanished.
Li Yunqing held onto Sera and Lilu Lu, both of whom had already fallen asleep.
"Let's soak for a bit longer, then we'll wash up and head to bed."
"Okay, Master."
Li Yunqing effortlessly carried both Sera and Lilu Lu back to the bedroom, teleporting directly into the room out of laziness. He placed the two girls on either side of him, lay down, and kissed each of them gently.
"Goodnight, my darlings."
"Mhm."
Sera and Lilu Lu responded with sleepy murmurs as if they understood him. Li Yunqing looked at the two girls and smiled; they were truly adorable. Leaning back against the headboard, he picked up his spellbook and began his magical research for the day.
Time passed quickly, and although it was still somewhat dark outside, a knock echoed through the air.
It was time for training.
I called out to them. Using Sound Transmission Magic, I directed my voice straight into Taki Sakonji's ears. He seemed surprised; it appeared that this man was not ordinary.
