Li Yunqing turned around, resting his chin on Shinobu Kocho's shoulder, and blew gently into her ear.
"Do you want your sister to come back?"
Shinobu, who was looking into the mirror, felt a ticklish breeze from Li Yunqing and froze at his question. It wasn't just Shinobu; Kanao Tsuyuri, who had been observing them, was also taken aback.
Shinobu turned her head to look directly into Li Yunqing's eyes. "Is it possible?"
Though unsure of the answer, she wanted to believe that if it was Li Yunqing, he could surely do it. He had so many magical abilities; he must be able to achieve this, right?
"Yes," Li Yunqing replied confidently. His magic wasn't limited to causing harm; he also possessed resurrection magic, provided that the soul was still intact.
Upon hearing his affirmative response, Shinobu turned around and hugged Li Yunqing tightly, gazing deeply into his eyes. "Please help me."
Fearing that Li Yunqing might refuse, she pressed her lips against his in a clumsy kiss that left him feeling little. He patted her back gently, encouraging her to relax.
Shinobu misunderstood his gesture, thinking he wanted her to hold on tighter. Li Yunqing tilted his head back, breaking away from her kiss and firmly embraced her in his arms.
Shinobu leaned against his chest after leaving his lips. "Don't rush, Shinobu. Let's first hear your sister's wishes."
"Sister?"
Tears shimmered in Shinobu's eyes as she looked at Li Yunqing with confusion. Without further ado, he cast True Vision on her.
Still holding onto him, Shinobu suddenly saw Kanao Tsuyuri standing behind the sofa and became overwhelmed with excitement.
"Sister!"
She released herself from Li Yunqing's embrace and dashed toward Kanao.
Wanting to embrace, yet passing through the past.
Huh?
Trying again to reach out, but once more, she slipped into the past.
Kanao Tsuyuri shook her head as she watched Shinobu Kocho's actions. Although she didn't know what Li Yunqing had done to allow Shinobu to see her, it was enough for now.
Kanao opened her mouth, attempting to say something. However, Shinobu merely smiled at her sister, opening her mouth but not producing any sound.
Feeling a bit lost, Kanao glanced at her sister and then at Li Yunqing, who smiled back and gave her another listening boost.
This time, Shinobu heard a voice she rarely encountered.
"Kanao, seeing you happy like this makes me so glad."
It was the voice she had longed to hear in her dreams.
Excitedly gazing at her sister, even though she couldn't touch her, just being able to see her was enough to bring satisfaction.
"Sister! I miss you so much!"
Shinobu Kocho looked at Kanao Tsuyuri with tears streaming down her face.
Seeing Shinobu in tears, Kanao reached out as if to wipe away the tears, but her hand passed right through the droplets.
"I miss you too, Shinobu."
