"You're back?"
As Kei Yunqing stepped into the living room, Sera and Lilu Lu rushed over to him.
Kei Yunqing smiled and nodded. "Yes, I'm back. Let's tidy up and see what we need to take with us. We’ll be leaving soon."
"Okay!"
Sera and Lilu Lu held hands and headed upstairs. Kei Yunqing glanced at the Butterfly Sisters beside him.
"They should have told you about everything, right?"
The Butterfly Sisters exchanged glances and nodded.
"We understand. You’re not from this world, so you have to leave."
"Yes, if there's anything you need to pack, go ahead. We don’t even know if we’ll come back."
"Alright, we'll go pack now," Shinobu Kocho said as she pulled her sister along towards the door.
Kei Yunqing looked around the living room; Ma Yi and Zhi Ye were missing as well, likely busy packing too.
After a while, everyone returned.
"Did you get everything you need?"
"Mm-hmm!"
Kei Yunqing surveyed them again and then glanced at the array of electronics filling the room. Should he take any of it?
Never mind, he decided to leave it for the Demon Slayer Corps.
In an instant, seven people vanished from the house.
"Is that it?"
The group seemed to sense something as they gazed at the sky. Just moments ago, Shinobu Kocho had brought Kanao Tsuyuri to bid farewell. As a wife, Shinobu Kocho had no issues with Kei Yunqing. Kyojuro Rengoku and the others wished her happiness.
After returning to Earth, Kei Yunqing and the others immediately went to check on their bedroom. They were finally back. Ma Yi and Zhi Ye didn’t move much; although they had seen this place before, they hadn’t stayed for long. Shinobu Kocho and Kanao Tsuyuri were still exploring around. Kei Yunqing glanced at them.
"Get familiar with things first; I’ll step out for a bit."
"Okay!"
Kei Yunqing went outside to check the sky and then looked at his phone. It was only around three in the afternoon. He decided to visit his parents first.
In the office, only his mother, Bai Ling, was present, sitting in a chair while occasionally answering phone calls on the computer. His father was likely busy with other matters.
He observed the employees closely. They seemed energetic, and there was no sign of discontent among them. Kei Yunqing thought for a moment and made slight adjustments to improve their work enthusiasm. He wished them good luck, hoping that the company would run smoothly in the future.
As long as he saw his father's company develop steadily, he felt reassured. After leaving Bai Guoqing Pharmaceutical Company, he headed to his previous workplace.
It was afternoon, and the substitute he had created should still be at work for him. He glanced around at his colleagues—some were slacking off, some were working hard, and a few were quietly studying.
Kei Yunqing smiled to himself; it was time to resign from this job. He had once thought about keeping a connection, but now that he had them, it was enough.
Tianhe City High School was by the sea, and Kei Yunqing took a stroll on Tianhai Bridge. Looking down at the ocean below, his thoughts grew a bit deeper.
He became so absorbed in his contemplation that he lost track of time. When he finally snapped back to reality, dusk had settled in.
Shaking his head, he made his way home.
"You're back? Time for dinner!" Sera and Ma Yi emerged from the kitchen wearing aprons, carrying dishes.
The other girls were already waiting at the dining table.
Kei Yunqing hugged Sera and Ma Yi from behind. "Did you make this yourselves?"
