Gaining Absolute Defense.
With this skill, defense is doubled.
The required points for attack, speed, and intelligence increase to three times.
Acquisition conditions:
Continuously being attacked for one hour without taking damage.
During the attack period, no magic or weapon counterattacks are allowed.
Mei Pulu pondered for a moment.
My defense is... doubled?
I was just playing with Mr. Rabbit.
Mei Pulu closed the panel and smiled at the rabbit.
"Alright, Mr. Rabbit, please attack me again!"
Another warm moment of playful banter ensued.
A flock of birds flew by among the trees nearby, drawing Mei Pulu's attention, causing her shield to inadvertently shift in front of her.
The rabbit seemed to have reacted as well and crashed directly into the shield, falling to the ground.
"Mr. Rabbit?"
Mei Pulu felt the impact on her shield and looked over, only to find the rabbit lying on the ground.
It then transformed into a stream of data and vanished.
"Mr. Rabbit!"
Mei Pulu gazed sadly at the disappearing figure of Mr. Rabbit.
She hadn't intended to defeat him at all.
A prompt appeared before Mei Pulu once more.
Level up achieved!
"Ah, my level has increased, and so have my points." Mei Pulu thought for a moment.
Now, enhancing other attributes seemed a bit impractical, so she decided to boost her defense! Increasing other attributes would cost three points each, which wasn't worth it. After allocating her points, Mei Pulu continued on her way.
As she walked, a buzzing sound emerged from behind her. Mei Pulu turned around curiously, only to find a bee larger than a small dog.
What?!
Startled, Mei Pulu quickly ran away. She hadn’t upgraded her speed; how could she possibly outrun such a massive bee? It quickly caught up to her, and the Queen Bee's mandibles struck Mei Pulu.
She only felt a slight itch.
What? It doesn’t hurt?
Suddenly feeling emboldened, Mei Pulu stood her ground and let the Queen Bee attack her.
Haha, it tickles!
She laughed, but it seemed to have angered the Queen Bee. The creature spat out dark green venom.
Yikes! It’s hot!
Mei Pulu glanced at the venom on her shoulder. Wasn’t she supposed to be able to defend against that?
Time for a strategic retreat!
Mei Pulu realized she couldn't defend against the venom, so she turned and ran back the way she came. However, after just a few steps, she was attacked again. The scalding liquid behind her caused her to lose her footing and fall to the ground.
Suddenly, a notification appeared on her screen.
"Acquired Poison Resistance Small."
Wait, does getting attacked by poison grant me resistance? Mei Pulu glanced at her health bar, which was still above eighty percent.
Oh no! I don’t want this!
Mei Pulu shouted loudly. The Queen Bee became even more excited and continued to spray a torrent of venom onto Mei Pulu.
After a while, the notification popped up again.
"Poison Resistance Small has evolved into Poison Resistance Medium."
