Their eyebrows and beards were frosted white, making them look like two weathered old men from a distance. They stomped their feet in the snow to dispel the chill, but what made them restless was Lin Xiu's safety inside the cave. Their hearts were filled with both anxiety and joy; anxious because Lin Xiu was enduring immense pain and they did not know if she could successfully navigate this life-and-death ordeal; joyful because a new life was about to arrive, representing the family's hope and the continuation of their future. Time seemed to freeze in this tense atmosphere, each second stretching out unbearably long. Finally, with a loud cry piercing the silence of the cave, a baby was born. The cry was clear and resonant, like the most beautiful melody in the world, announcing the arrival of new life and allowing everyone's anxious hearts to finally settle.
Upon hearing that cry, Lin Ning and White Jade Peak could no longer contain their excitement and rushed into the Snow Cave. They saw Yuan Yueming carefully wrapping a delicate baby in the fur coat that Lin Ning had taken off. The baby's skin was as white as snow with a hint of pink, as if sculpted from the finest porcelain. As she spoke, she carefully handed the baby wrapped in soft swaddling to White Jade Peak. His hands trembled slightly as he took her with an almost reverent gesture. He slowly pressed his face against the baby's tender little face; perhaps sensing the slight chill from his nervousness and excitement, she suddenly shivered and then burst into loud cries again, her clear and resonant wails echoing throughout the small Snow Cave.
Seeing this, Yuan Yueming quickly smiled and took back the baby from White Jade Peak's hands before lightly stepping over to Lin Xiu. Although Lin Xiu was still weak at that moment, when she saw her adorable daughter, joy instantly illuminated her previously pale face. Her eyes sparkled with soft light like the brightest star in the night sky as she tenderly gazed at her daughter; it felt as if everything else in the world faded away except for this tiny life before her. Standing nearby, Lin Ning could no longer contain himself; he rubbed his hands together eagerly and exclaimed: "Let Uncle hold the baby!" He stretched out his arms as he spoke. White Jade Peak rushed into Snow Cave gently cradling both daughters in his arms; his movements were so tender it seemed he held nothing less than treasures beyond compare.
