The rapid expansion of the first day slowed down today.
First, there were a few wild crops. Aside from the vines, the Pumpkin Monster and Grape Vine could not reproduce quickly due to their seeds. Unlike the vines, which could produce a fruit in a day, the Pumpkin Monster condensed into a pumpkin, but it contained no seeds. The Grape Vine also produced a bunch of grapes, similarly seedless. They needed a long time to generate seeds.
According to Ye Feihong's estimates, these plants required time to produce seeds: the Pumpkin Monster needed a week to yield four seeds, while the Grape Vine took ten days to produce twelve seeds. Although their seed production speed was not slow, it still required a significant amount of time. With the next wave of attacks approaching, expansion was impossible.
Ye Feihong had two days left for preparation. It seemed he had to make the most of his time. Upon waking up that morning, he began working on the construction of his farm. Concerned about scattered dark creatures appearing within Heaven Gate, like the Dark Wild Boar, Ye Feihong dared not step outside the boundaries of his farm.
He observed the remaining markers for Dark Plants provided by his Imperial Guard. Today, Ye Feihong chose to abandon the circular layout for his farm. Although circular designs were best suited for defense, what he needed most right now were seeds.
Carefully, a line was drawn on the map. This was the most recent road. Vines were an important source of Defense Power for Ye Feihong Farm. With these vines, not only could they resist enemy attacks, but they also allowed for quick movement of the Peashooters. Therefore, these vines could not be wasted easily.
Ye Feihong laid out the vines as they advanced toward the Wild Dark Plant. Soon, Ye Feihong found themselves on an abandoned road and encountered a Dark Plant. This Dark Plant was completely different from what they had encountered yesterday. It was even unlike the Blue Star Plant that Ye Feihong had seen before.
This was a type of Otherworldly Dark Plant that had never been seen before. Just by looking at its appearance, it was clear that it was not a native Blue Star plant. It had a purple-red exterior and resembled a virus—round and spherical, with numerous tentacles protruding from the top. It looked quite repulsive.
Ye Feihong stared intently at this strange plant, wanting to discover its abilities. They considered whether to spend a bit of sunlight to unlock its information in the system. The system soon confirmed that it could do so.
Without hesitation, Ye Feihong chose to spend a bit of Sunlight Energy to unlock its data: Stinky Spore. This plant could release a large amount of foul-smelling gas, causing even dark creatures to keep their distance.
This is something interesting.
In case of encountering a large-scale Zombie Tide, a mere Farm Owner might not be able to resist. Deploying a Stinky Spore could drive away numerous dark creatures, keeping the Farm Owner safe. This is definitely something worth obtaining. Since it only emits a foul odor, it shouldn't pose any danger to my life. However, just to be cautious, Ye Feihong decided to use Control Vine and approached the Stinky Spore.
The vines came close but did not entangle the Stinky Spore. They were within a meter of it, yet the Stinky Spore still did not release its foul gas. This reassured Ye Feihong considerably. He stepped out from the ruins and carefully made his way toward the road where the Stinky Spore was located. He cautiously navigated around the abandoned road, littered with rusted vehicles that had been left for years.
Ye Feihong tiptoed right up to the Stinky Spore.
