Reaching out a hand, Ye Feihong cautiously approached the Stinky Spore.
"Do you want to consume two points of Sunlight Energy to acquire the Stinky Spore?"
Without hesitation, Ye Feihong chose yes.
As his spirit connected with the Stinky Spore, he suddenly realized why it required two points of Sunlight Energy.
He checked the attributes of the Stinky Spore and discovered that it was indeed much more powerful than the Grape Vine and Pumpkin Monster. The explosion range of the Pumpkin Monster was only about ten meters, while the Grape Vine had a slightly larger range of around twenty meters. However, the Stinky Spore's odor could reach up to one kilometer, classifying it as a large area attack plant.
Although it was merely an auxiliary plant that could only disperse Dark Matter and not eliminate it, the Stinky Spore was already quite impressive for a Farm Owner in the early stages. It was a rare plant for area defense. Unfortunately, it still lacked long-range capabilities, which Ye Feihong desperately needed.
Continuing his exploration of the remaining locations, he encountered more Grape Vines and Pumpkin Monsters. After easily obtaining seeds from both, he moved on.
Ye Feihong finally discovered a completely unique plant. It was a type of Cabbage, unlike any ordinary Cabbage. This one consisted of two plants, one large and one small, connected by a single leaf.
Ye Feihong controlled the vines, intending to plant a vine seed in the space between him and the Cabbage. To his surprise, the large Cabbage suddenly tossed the smaller Cabbage into the air.
With a loud bang, the explosion shattered the roots of the vine. It seemed that his worries had come true; this was indeed a plant capable of long-range attacks. The attack methods of the Cabbage and Pea were distinctly different. The Pea shot like a rifle, delivering direct hits, while the Cabbage employed a catapult-like arc for its attacks.
Although its shooting speed was slower than that of the Pea, it compensated with its ability to launch projectiles that could bypass some debris from buildings. Approaching to directly acquire this plant was not an option anymore.
Ye Feihong promptly commanded several Pea Gatlings to attack.
With rapid-fire sounds echoing, the upgraded Peashooters unleashed their fury. For safety's sake, Ye Feihong had brought three Pea Gatlings with him this time.
As soon as Ye Feihong issued the attack command, dozens of Pea Bullets shot out in just a second. The distant Cabbage didn’t even have time to react before it was shattered into pieces.
Ye Feihong quickly ran over to the remains of the Cabbage, seriously searching the ground. He regretted issuing the attack command almost immediately, having forgotten to account for the firing speed of the Pea Gatling. He had treated the Pea Gatling as if it were a simple Peashooter.
The fierce firepower of the Pea Gatling not only obliterated the Cabbage but also turned the surrounding walls into a honeycomb of holes from the barrage of Pea Bullets. Now, Ye Feihong was praying that the seeds of the Cabbage hadn’t been destroyed; otherwise, all his efforts would have been in vain.
Looking at the battered and scattered remains of the Cabbage, Ye Feihong's heart ached. There was not a single intact leaf left, let alone any seeds. However, he noticed the remnants of its roots still clinging to life. Although the leaves had been completely destroyed, the root system remained intact.
Ye Feihong pondered whether he should dig up the Cabbage's roots; perhaps they could still sustain life. He wondered if it would be worth spending some sunlight to obtain what remained of the Cabbage.
