The most likely attack routes of the dark creatures have been calculated through supercomputing. Reasonable plant formations can be arranged along these routes. If it weren't for the outstanding performance of Ye Feihong in the past couple of days, these experienced Imperial Guards would not have determined that Ye Feihong is a highly promising Farm Owner based on his movement patterns.
Even a dozen plants within the Heaven Gate would not be marked for him. Marking Wild Dark Plants is no simple task. The reconnaissance satellite, positioned kilometers above in space, uses cutting-edge Ultra HD cameras to capture clear images of the ground. Each pixel is then analyzed through a supercomputer, comparing it against a vast database of information. Only then can it be concluded that those plants might be Dark Plants.
The Heaven Gate has not been occupied by humans for decades and is home to a large number of wild plants. Finding Dark Plants among such a multitude is no easy feat. In just half an hour, Ye Feihong managed to acquire two Dark Plants—two vines and over seventy seeds. The last location was quite far from Ye Feihong, a full kilometer away. Faced with such a long distance, Ye Feihong hesitated about whether to pursue it.
To ensure his safety, he wanted to reach a kilometer away. At the very least, he needed to bring along several Peashooter Turrets. This required a significant amount of Vine Seeds to pave the way. To operate multiple Peashooter Turrets simultaneously, he needed at least three vines placed side by side. Laying this out to a kilometer away would waste dozens of Vine Seeds.
If the final location consisted solely of vines, which were classified as Dark Plants, the seeds wasted along the way would exceed the seeds he could obtain. After hesitating for a moment, Ye Feihong decided to take the plunge. Even if it meant wasting a few dozen Vine Seeds, there was a chance he could acquire new Dark Plants. If that happened, it would be a huge gain for him. Even if it was just the cheapest vine, his losses wouldn’t be substantial.
Moreover, as the area of his farm expanded in the future, the entire Heaven Gate would become part of his domain as a Farm Owner. Some of the Vine Seeds wouldn’t be considered wasted; no matter how one looked at it, it was a profitable venture.
To ensure his safety, he deployed six Peashooter Turrets this time. This was to prevent any sudden appearances of Dark Creatures nearby. Three were set up for defense while three were transported forward by vines. They advanced in a staggered formation, ensuring that there were at least three Peashooter Turrets around him at all times, ready to engage in battle if danger arose.
It took a long time for Ye Feihong to reach the outskirts of the forest. Without needing to search, Ye Feihong could see it clearly.
Before him stood a dark creature, a massive tree unlike any he had seen on Blue Star. This enormous tree had two gigantic arms, each adorned with branches resembling willow twigs.
With a swift motion, the tree swung one of its arms, pulling distant plants toward it and swallowing them whole into its enormous mouth at the trunk. No wonder there were no dark plants in its vicinity; they had likely all been consumed by this terrifying giant.
Such a plant must have surpassed any known level.
