"I want a War Tree too," said Liu Meili.
"I want one as well," Wang added.
"Me too," Li Si chimed in.
The Farm Owners behind them all wore expressions of envy. Who wouldn't want such a powerful Level Plant? With strong defense, high attack, and quick healing, the War Tree was the perfect plant. Its only drawback was perhaps its lack of long-range attack capabilities.
Soon, the remaining dozens of Abominations arrived. They had a tough time ahead. After running for several miles, they reached the Farm Owner Ye Feihong. One by one, they were dealt with by Ye Feihong's forces.
In the distance, at the Imperial Guard Monitoring Room, the real test was about to begin. If he could withstand it, perhaps he could truly hold the line. But what was he thinking? Relying solely on two War Trees would only be enough to deal with a few Abominations at best.
Inside the monitoring room, the Imperial Guards had seen their fair share of intense situations. Yet many still chose not to focus on Ye Feihong. For those novice Farm Owners in the mountainous area, the Abominations were terrifying creatures. However, for the Imperial Guards, these Abominations were merely an appetizer.
The wave of dark creatures approaching was formidable. Although there were only one hundred thousand of them, Ye Feihong had already dealt with a fraction. However, the ones at the front were merely the weakest of these dark beings. The creatures behind them were growing increasingly powerful.
In the next wave, Zombies made up the majority once again. But these Zombies were no longer defenseless. They wore iron buckets on their heads and were adorned with various items to enhance their defenses. Some Zombies had televisions hanging from them, while others carried large iron pots. There was even a Dark Zombie that trudged forward, shouldering a massive refrigerator that completely obscured its body.
The Scholars observed these developments and speculated that the Dark World was, in fact, another version or multiple versions of Blue Stars within the Ping Universe. These Blue Stars had already succumbed to the dark creatures. Consequently, the humans from those defeated worlds had transformed into Dark Zombies.
Otherwise, the low intelligence of these Dark Zombies would make it impossible for them to produce appliances like televisions and refrigerators, which were exclusive to the Blue Stars. If their Blue Stars fell to resistance, all humans would end up like those from the defeated Blue Stars in the Ping Universe—transformed into Dark Zombies, reduced to mindless beings driven solely by a thirst for bloodshed. This was the origin of the dark creatures.
Why do dark creatures appear? How many Ping Universes have already been breached by these dark beings? What is the principle behind the sudden emergence of these portals? What energy sustains the portals, and how can they be destroyed? These questions remain unanswered by scholars.
Numerous experiments have proven that the portals cannot be destroyed. For instance, the Grizzly Bear Kingdom deployed hundreds of thousands of Da Ivan, yet they were unable to breach a single portal. Instead, this led to widespread destruction of electronic devices across Blue Star.
Most critically, the dark creatures that were exposed to radiation pollution did not weaken; rather, they evolved into even more terrifying forms. This has caused all nations to refrain from using these fearsome weapons, forcing them to rely on outdated Heat Weapons to combat the seemingly endless tide of dark creatures.
If it weren't for the discovery of the Farm Owner, a combat method that does not require vast resources, humanity on Blue Star would have long since exhausted all its supplies. It is thanks to the Farm Owner that humanity has been able to barely withstand these dark beings.
