Now, at Heaven Gate, it was not like it had been decades ago. The area was once bustling with traffic, filled with the sounds of birds chirping and insects buzzing, accompanied by the voices of people and the calls of street vendors. These various sounds had once intertwined, creating a vibrant atmosphere, but now they canceled each other out, leaving no sound that could carry far.
Heaven Gate lay on the front lines of the Western Region, where dark creatures invaded relentlessly. It was not just that humanity had long since vanished; even the birds and insects had been devoured by these dark beings. The dark creatures harbored an insatiable appetite for any flesh and blood, reveling in the life of Blue Star as if they were starving after a week without food—showing no discrimination against any form of sustenance.
For decades, they had been invading Blue Star, leading to the extinction of ninety percent of its species. This included deep-sea creatures that were difficult for humans to reach. Over these years, humanity had managed to eliminate hundreds of millions of dark creatures, yet these beings seemed endless. Periodically, large numbers would emerge from dozens of portals, launching into a frenzied slaughter against any life on Blue Star.
The tranquility that once characterized Heaven Gate was now a distant memory.
The sound of the War Tree pounding on the car echoed for dozens of miles, reaching the ears of the Farm Owner in the mountains behind.
Liu Meili asked, "What is Fei Hong doing? It’s causing such a commotion."
Li Si replied, "I don’t know. All I can see is the War Tree hitting something."

A portal appears every ten days or so, bringing tens of thousands of dark creatures. After decades of this conflict, the situation remains dire.
