Alternatively, they could obtain these Magical Seeds. This would allow them to easily deal with the Brain Worms using plants. The three Brain Worms quickly commanded the rest of their army to move towards the positions of the two Forward Bunkers. Since they were in the Zi Wu area, the Dark Colossus had no offensive capabilities. They didn't even have arms and their melee abilities were inferior to those of the Dark Zombies. Now, only a few dozen Mammoths were left to take action. They intended to use their massive tusks to smash the two Forward Bunkers.
With great effort, the Mammoths charged at the Forward Bunkers. A large number of vines began to launch the first wave of defense in order to produce Ground Spike Vines. Ye Feihong now possessed a vast quantity of ordinary vines—amounting to tens of thousands. Before the Mammoth herd could get close to the Forward Bunkers, they were ensnared by countless vines.
One or two vines posed no threat to a Mammoth, much like a human brushing aside a few spider webs with ease. However, each Mammoth faced hundreds of vines, and the outcome was drastically different. The limbs of the Mammoths were tightly bound by these vines.
A dozen vines intertwined, resembling a thick rope. They grew thicker, possessing a stronger tensile strength. Dozens of Mammoths stared at the Forward Bunker before them, less than twenty meters away. They let out tremendous roars. Yet, no matter how they struggled, they could not break free from the vines.
Inside the Forward Bunker, carnivorous plants were being transported by other vines to the Mammoths. They began to take root on the surface of the Mammoths, continuously using their potent gastric acid to gnaw at the Mammoths' shells.
Five minutes later, when the mass of Zi Wu dissipated, only a few dozen bones remained in front of the Forward Bunker, along with hundreds of carnivorous plants that thrived and feasted, reveling in their banquet. Among them was Ye Feihong's first carnivorous plant. It had been a month since it came to Ye Feihong's Farm Owner, and this was its first opportunity to enjoy such a feast.
This was the essence of close-combat plants; their chances to shine were far too rare. As the Zi Wu dispersed, the last three Brain Worms were no longer prepared to release more Zi Wu. Their subordinates were down to fewer than four thousand Dark Colossi, all of whom were ranged attackers.
After releasing Zi Wu, the Brain Worms found themselves without any means of attack. Instead, they could only passively endure the blows. The three of them were filled with regret. Why had they allowed all the Dark Zombies and Dark Insects to charge to the front? If they still had twenty or thirty thousand Dark Zombies left, they wouldn't have ended up in such a dire situation.
After much effort, they finally reached Ye Feihong, the Farm Owner, but they couldn't even use their most proficient skill, Zi Wu. The Brain Worms had always looked down on the Dark Zombies and Dark Insects, considering them the lowest tier of creatures in the Dark Realm. Normally, these lowly beings didn't even qualify to approach within a kilometer of the Brain Worms.
The outcome of this battle hinged on these inferior dark creatures, which left the three Brain Worms feeling extremely frustrated. In the past, they had made their enemies unable to exert their strength. Now it was their turn to be powerless; their strongest skill, Zi Wu, was instead protecting the enemy from melee attacks.
This made all three Brain Worms feel like they could spit blood. When had they ever suffered such humiliation?
