A few hours later, at the airport in the Eastern Theater, several Fighter Jets, accompanied by dozens of large Bombers, began to take off. To ensure the safety of this mission, five of the Dragon Kingdom's most advanced Fighter Jets were deployed. Three of them would serve as the vanguard, while the remaining two were tasked with protecting the Bombers.
Among the Bombers, three were equipped with canisters of Super Explosive Cherry, making them key targets for protection. If these Bombers were shot down in mid-air, the nearby Fighter Jets would also be affected. The explosive yield of ten million tons was terrifying.
The Fighter Jets in the rear were fully committed to safeguarding the Bombers' safety. One by one, the aircraft took off from the runway. Meanwhile, in space, dozens of Reconnaissance Satellites had already completed their orbital adjustments. They would simultaneously scout for safety along the flight path.
The effectiveness of Radar had diminished significantly. Many dark creatures were able to ignore Radar entirely. Their skin could absorb the reflected waves from Radar, achieving a form of invisibility. Moreover, these dark creatures lacked body heat, rendering thermal imaging systems ineffective as well.
The difference between the current Fighter Jets and those before the apocalypse is significant.
Before the apocalypse, Fighter Jets emphasized stealth capabilities and cruising range. In contrast, post-apocalyptic Fighter Jets focus on firepower coverage and agility. Previously, Fighter Jets relied on radar to detect enemies, but now they depend on the dozens of high-definition cameras mounted on the aircraft.
With no fuel constraints, a vast reserve of spiritual energy allows Fighter Jets to operate without worrying about fuel consumption. This has enabled them to be equipped with a large number of missiles.
Rows of Fighter Jets soared toward Sakura Country, with battles continuing unabated along the way. Over the East Sea, numerous dark flying creatures swarmed. Among them were the commonly seen flying dragons, but there were also vast numbers of Void Hatchlings. These creatures were even more terrifying than flying dragons, launching lightning balls at an attack speed that was difficult to evade.
General San Star watched intently from the control room at the large screen displaying several bright points. Each time one of these points extinguished, it signified that a Fighter Jet or Bomber had been destroyed by the dark creatures. Most crucially, three shimmering red points stood out on the screen. These represented three Bombers equipped with Super Explosive Cherries. As long as these three Bombers encountered no issues and could reach the skies above Sakura Country, it would be considered a success.
Three-Star General reminded everyone once again to advise the people of Sakura Country to seek shelter underground. One-Star General noted that they had already urgently notified Sakura Country three times today.
However, they still obeyed the orders and called to remind the people of Sakura Country. Our Bomber squadron will soon be in Kyoto, so everyone should try to take cover in underground shelters.
The liaison officer from Sakura Country replied, "Got it, no worries. We, the people of Sakura Country, are already well hidden."
After hanging up the phone, the liaison officer turned to the general beside him and said, "General, the people of Sakura Country are quite amusing. It's just a bombing support mission, yet they insist on hiding in underground shelters."
The General of Sakura Nation responded, "They live in such a comfortable world that they have no idea of the terror posed by dark creatures. Even a small bombing can take care of some dark beings. It's better for us to be polite."
General Sanxing focused intently on the images from the reconnaissance satellite.
