The battlefield gradually shifted in favor of Ye Feihong. The ambush by the Dark Chapel Knight had failed, leaving the dark creatures in a passive position, taking hits without any retaliation. The Light Sanctuary Knight had only a few Electric Nets at their disposal, which could only target the scattered Peashooters—plants that Ye Feihong had already prepared to abandon.
The damage ratio between both sides was clearly not on the same level. The last Ground Spike Vine managed to intercept them from a distance of one thousand meters. At this range, neither the Dark Hunter nor the Dark Colossus could reach Ye Feihong's Farm Owner.
Just when everyone thought the outcome was decided, they found themselves facing less than two hundred thousand dark creatures. Suddenly, their numbers began to surge wildly. They quickly escalated to three hundred thousand, then four hundred thousand, and finally reached seven hundred thousand before stopping.
Ye Feihong stared in bewilderment at the sudden swarm of dark creatures. Why had their numbers tripled so abruptly? Was it teleportation, invisibility, or something else entirely?
Bei Ye remarked, "It seems that this Farmer from the Dragon Kingdom has managed to hold his ground once again; truly impressive."
Bond Agent replied, "Indeed. These dark creatures seem unable to detect his Ground Spike Vine now; they can't approach the Farm Owner at all. No matter how many there are, they can only take hits passively."
The two quickly changed their expressions, now fervently praising Ye Feihong. They believed his defense was nothing short of flawless this time.
Every step was faster than the transformations of the dark creatures, successfully countering several of their lethal attacks. Then, suddenly, more dark creatures appeared. Both of them were taken aback.
"How is this possible?" Bei Ye exclaimed. "The number of dark creatures had sharply decreased, yet suddenly it has tripled."
"Where did these dark creatures come from?" Debang Tekong asked, fear evident in his voice. "This is truly terrifying; we need to understand what caused this."
"Yes, it's incredibly frightening," Bei Ye replied. "If we encounter a situation like this, the teleportation portal might be compromised with three times the number of dark creatures appearing at once."
Both were horrified by the scene before them. This was not a good situation. If even one teleportation portal spawned new unknown creatures, it would soon lead to others appearing as well. This meant they would soon face terrifying unknown entities like the Light Sanctuary Knight.
"I just thought of something very frightening," De Bond Agent said. "Could these dark creatures be conjured out of thin air? No wonder we’ve fought hundreds and still can’t finish them off."
"It’s very possible," Bei Ye agreed. "If that’s true and they can appear at will, humanity wouldn’t stand a chance."
In the mountainous area behind them, the Farmers had initially been pleased to see Ye Feihong gaining the upper hand.
"Fei Hong is amazing!" Liu Meili said. "He has effortlessly held off these dark creatures; even the Farm Owner can't get close to him."
"Yes, he’s incredibly strong," Wang Mazi added. "We need to support him and help defend our position."
The Farmers in the mountainous area were delighted to see Ye Feihong finally suppressing the dark creatures after several rounds of battle. However, suddenly the scene changed as the number of dark creatures tripled. They no longer feared the Ground Spike Vine and began to approach Ye Feihong's Farm Owner in groups.
Once the Ground Spike Vine initiated an attack, it meant that it had exposed itself. They could directly use Firepower to eliminate the Ground Spike Vine. Although Ye Feihong continuously attacked with the Corn Cannon and Cabbage, their progress was slow due to the presence of Energy Shields. It was impossible to kill all seven hundred thousand dark creatures within a distance of one thousand meters.
