Before her, the Zerg Queen Kerrigan swiftly retreated. Ye Feihong swung his blade, creating a massive chasm in the ground that stretched over a thousand meters in length and plunged several meters deep.
From a distance, Kerrigan's voice echoed back, "So she has suddenly grown stronger again? I look forward to our next encounter."
Suspended in mid-air over a thousand meters away, Kerrigan used her skill, Destruction Leap Strike, to evade Ye Feihong's lethal strike. A swirl of purple light emanated from her hands as the ground beneath her feet erupted with the appearance of a gigantic Dark Burrowing Worm, which promptly swallowed her whole.
When she reappeared, it was near a teleportation portal several hundred kilometers away. Kerrigan paid no mind to the fleeing Dark Matter Army; instead, she entered the portal and returned to the Dark Realm.
The portal was bidirectional. Humans could enter the Dark Realm, and the Dark Realm could also reach into Blue Star. Over the years, humanity had dispatched numerous personnel, including soldiers and scholars, into the Dark Realm. However, none had ever returned alive. Their mission was not to conquer the Dark Realm but merely to investigate what lay within. Yet, none had come back.
To prevent potential dangers—such as the lack of oxygen and various terrifying rays and toxic gases—some individuals had even entered wearing spacesuits.
This is a suit that isolates the wearer from the outside world. For a duration of several minutes, it protects against any external environmental threats. However, these individuals still cannot exit the Dark Realm after entering.
After some time, Ye Feihong and all the humans from Blue Star finally understood why those who entered could not return. The flying Dark Matter had also fled to the location of the portal, yet they too were unable to enter it. An invisible force kept these Dark Matter at bay, preventing them from crossing through.
Except for Zerg Queen Kerrigan, the other Dark Matter could not find their way back. They were blocked outside by the portal. No wonder those explorers who entered the portal could not return to Blue Star to inform others about what the Dark Realm was like; they simply could not come back.
The portal appeared to be two-way: Dark Matter could enter Blue Star, and the people of Blue Star could enter the Dark Realm. However, for both sides, it was also one-way. They could only move forward and not retreat.
Why was Zerg Queen Kerrigan able to escape? Others might not know, but Ye Feihong had already formed a hypothesis in his mind. It was because of the Life Tree. Only those who possessed the Life Tree could find their way back.
Only then could he freely traverse all the portals.
That being said, he also possessed the ability to launch an attack on the Dark Realm. Ye Feihong wanted to give it a try, but he hesitated to make a decision. The reason was simple. If he entered the Dark Realm and couldn't return, it wouldn't matter who would defend the Heaven Gate. He lacked the ability to carry the Life Tree with him like Zerg Queen Kerrigan did. If he couldn't come back, those precious Life Trees would easily be taken by Dark Matter. In that case, there would be no chance of survival for the entire Blue Star.
Thinking of this, Ye Feihong dared not attempt it lightly. He had used seven thousand Dian Ling Neng Dian to restore the health of three Life Trees and four Hero Units. Now, Ye Feihong could be said to be back to square one. To restore his status as a Farm Owner, he needed a substantial amount of Spirit Points.
The flying Dark Matter were already hundreds of kilometers away, but there were still hundreds of thousands crawling on the ground. They were just a few dozen kilometers away in the canyon, moving much slower than the airborne units. With four Hero Units to guard his three Life Trees, he prepared for what lay ahead.
