In response to the urgent plea from A San, the Imperial Guard has expressed their willingness to provide support. However, they will need at least thirty minutes. The reason is simple: they are preparing to deal with Zerg Queen Kerrigan.
The Imperial Guard has converted all their missiles into the most powerful Energy Stone variants, fully loaded with Super Fission Cherry Missiles. To say that such powerful missiles would be wasted on just a few flying dark creatures is an understatement. Old Yuan's Spirit Points would suffer greatly from this expenditure. The explosive power alone is something that A San Country cannot afford.
Currently, these flying units are approaching A San Country's defensive line. If an explosion occurs, the thousands of Farmers guarding the line, along with the hundreds of thousands of troops in the rear, would be obliterated. The Dragon Kingdom's Imperial Guard is well-trained, but even if they wanted to simplify these missiles, it would take them at least ten minutes. Locking onto targets and ensuring a hit would also require a similar amount of time. Therefore, they need at least half an hour.
During this time, A San Country can only rely on its own defenses. The Dark Nest Lord's attack range is extensive, and unfortunately, A San has very few Farmers equipped with such long-range offensive plants. They have no choice but to depend on a large number of missiles to fend off the Dark Nest Lord's attacks. However, A San Country's missiles are nothing short of a joke.
Before the apocalypse, they could manufacture weapons of all kinds. However, after the apocalypse, they had to rely on their own development.
The principle of a missile is not complicated; after all, fifty years ago, Blue Star had already used these missiles in warfare. The problem was that the quality of products from A San Country had always been very poor. This was largely due to the strict social hierarchy in their country. The elite were required to hold research positions, while those of average status served as team leaders, and the lower class worked on the production line.
The most peculiar aspect was that people with the same surname could only work on tasks related to their surname. This led to a situation where some individuals had high skill levels while others were severely lacking. Most of the parts produced did not meet standards. For a weapon like a missile that requires high precision, even a slight error could lead to severe consequences.
Their first missile failed due to precision issues. It was supposed to ascend into the sky before leveling off to launch an attack on the dark creatures below. However, because several internal gears were not precise enough, it turned too much. The missile veered off course and ended up flying in a zigzag pattern. It traveled only five meters before crashing to the ground and exploding. Not only did it fail to strike the distant dark creatures, but it also detonated among their own troops.
Fortunately, the second missile succeeded. A few seconds later, it accurately hit a Dark Nest Lord. However, there was an issue with the fuse; it delayed for a second before exploding upon hitting the Dark Nest Lord's tough skin.
The third missile was even more comical. It had a guidance issue and veered off course by several kilometers, missing the dark creatures entirely. Instead, it exploded in the distant mountains. Fortunately, the fourth missile hit its target, causing minor damage to the Dark Nest Lord.
A series of problems continued to arise. Although A San Country had a high production rate and possessed tens of thousands of short-range missiles in reserve, the quality control of these products was alarmingly low. This was also the reason why A San Country had always feared flying dark creatures. Not to mention the Dark Nest Lord, even ordinary Dark Flying Dragons posed a significant challenge for them.
Fortunately, while their country lacked many resources, they had a large population. Over a year ago, they surpassed the Dragon Kingdom to become the most populous nation on Blue Star. Despite having nearly ten million square kilometers less territory than the Dragon Kingdom, their land area was only one-fourth that of the Dragon Kingdom.
