The Dark Angels did not even slow down Ye Feihong's pace. In just a few minutes, they had killed them all.
A group of them arrived at a massive city. Within this city stood an enormous building that seemed to reach directly into the sky, towering at least several thousand meters high. It surpassed the clouds, making it impossible to see its full height.
Bayonetta remarked, "This is the Angel Nest, One Sky Tower."
The sight of this building surprised Ye Feihong. According to the legends of Blue Star and Western Mythology, there was a tale of a tower that aimed to connect directly to the heavens.
At the base of the tower was a bustling city. Skyscrapers rose high into the air, rivaling even the most prosperous cities on Blue Star. However, the humans here were different from ordinary people. Their gazes were vacant; no one was engaged in any activity. They knelt on the ground, continuously praying to various Angel Statues.
Bayonetta explained, "These humans have been completely brainwashed. Aside from providing faith to the Dark Angels, they possess no other emotions."
Ye Feihong understood; these humans were merely animals in a breeding ground for the Dark Angels.
Just like humans raise pigs, pigs are actually much more intelligent than dogs. They have been genetically modified by humans to become creatures that only know how to eat, reaching market weight in just three months. The same can be said for the people in this city. Although they are still alive, they merely serve as vessels of faith and can no longer be considered truly human.
Ye Feihong quickly increased the altitude of the Plant Battleship. He was not concerned with restoring this world; defeating the dark creatures seemed meaningless. Even if restoration were possible, it would only be a temporary fix.
However, Ye Feihong soon encountered a problem. The Plant Battleship was not a true spaceship. When it reached an altitude of thirty thousand meters, the air became extremely thin, and the Plant Battleship could no longer ascend. Unlike the Dark Yamato Battleship, it was not capable of flying directly into space like the Death Star. This posed a serious issue.
Reluctantly, Ye Feihong had to lead his Hero Units away from the Death Star and jump onto the Tower of Babel. Inside the Tower of Babel, there was a spiral staircase that led directly to the top.
A group of six people swiftly ascended the stairs. At this moment, the air was already extremely thin. Ordinary humans could not survive here, at an altitude of eight thousand meters—the Roof of the World. Only with oxygen tanks could they endure this environment. However, none of the six were ordinary humans. The thin air did not affect their speed in the slightest as they advanced toward the sky.
Soon, they arrived at a rooftop. This was merely the middle section of the Tower of Babel. In the center stood a massive statue of a Sixteen-winged Angel, beneath which was a man bound by chains.
Bayonetta gasped in surprise, "Father, is that you?" She rushed forward. The chains on her father's body quickly unraveled and ensnared Bayonetta instead. He reached out and directly plucked out her left eye, placing it over his own.
Her father's appearance began to change; he radiated a blue light, and sixteen wings sprouted from his back.
