As Ye Feihong's words fell, the molten lava outside the obstructing rocks began to transform into massive dog heads made of Lava Groups. They charged rapidly against the rocks blocking their path. The rocks were thick and sturdy; although they could not be destroyed by Inugami Guren, they created enormous pits. The lava heated these rocks, turning them into new molten material.
Under Ye Feihong's relentless assault, one after another, the rocks blocking the way were shattered. Countless demons were subsequently engulfed by the Lava Sea, transforming into a vast amount of Spirit Points. Ye Feihong then utilized the Energy Life Tree to convert these Spirit Points into Energy Stones. These Energy Stones provided sufficient energy for Ye Feihong to control the immense Lava Sea.
This created a beneficial cycle, feeding on millions of powerful demons within the King of Suffering's Nest. The temperature of the Sea of Lava continued to rise, as the surrounding rock walls slowly melted due to the high heat, increasing the quantity of lava. The volume of the Sea of Lava grew ever larger, while the King of Suffering hid deep underground, thirteen layers down.
This was his most fortified Nest. Inside, various bizarre torture devices were arranged. These instruments would not kill a human immediately. Each one he unleashed would torment a person, leading them to die in a continuous state of Suffering. This place resembled the Eighteen Levels of Hell from the myths of the Dragon Kingdom, a realm dedicated to punishing the wicked.
In this environment, the King of Suffering had pushed his powers to their peak. Now, he experienced the despair of those mortals firsthand. He desperately commanded his subordinates, trying to seal one entrance after another, but it was all in vain. Ye Feihong's Sea of Lava continued to engulf the King of Suffering's Nest.
Millions of demons under his command were enduring the torment of being burned by lava. Little did he expect that after slaughtering hundreds of thousands of humans with cruel punishments, his own millions of demons were now being tortured and killed by Ye Feihong in return. The King of Suffering let out an enraged roar.
As one of the Nine Great Demons, he had only ever feared Diablo and the King of Destruction. He never imagined that he would be brought to such a desperate state by a mere human. If this dragged on any longer, he would only be waiting for death. This was not the battlefield suited for him; he had spent hundreds of years preparing for this moment.
The enormous Nest, built with countless efforts, was about to become the Lava Ocean. This was not his domain; it was not a battlefield suited for him. Only two possibilities awaited him.
The first was to break through and engage in combat with Ye Feihong. He needed to confront this powerful enemy before the realm completely transformed into molten lava. The second option was to flee, seeking refuge under another Demon King. Although this would mean becoming a subordinate of another, it would allow him to survive.
Both choices were terrible. If he chose to fight, the environment was entirely favorable to his enemy, leaving him with almost no chance of victory. If he fled, the other Demon Kings were not known for their kindness. Truly aligning himself with them would likely result in a significant loss of power.
He looked around the torture chamber, where millions of humans from Other Dimensions were held captive. These were individuals captured by the Pain King through portals, and he had paid a hefty price for this. Only Diablo and the King of Destruction possessed the Tree of Life, allowing them to freely lead others back and forth between realms. To engage in such plunder, they all had to pay a price.
After contemplating for a moment, the King of Suffering decided to fight with all his might. The countless instruments of torture began to stir into action.
It was no longer about torture; it was about killing a million people, using their deaths' suffering to enhance the power of the King of Suffering.
