The Pain King, with two massive scythe-like arms, plunged them directly into his own body. For other demons, such an act would be tantamount to suicide. But for the King of Suffering, this was his final struggle.
Though he did not understand why his most adept attack, Suffering, was ineffective against Ye Feihong, he believed that as long as he could inflict enough Suffering, he would surely be able to kill his opponent. This was the King of Suffering's mindset, the very method that had allowed him to triumph over countless angels, humans, and other demons. No matter what power was used against him, the King of Suffering would obliterate his foes with Suffering.
He unleashed his ultimate move, inflicting tremendous wounds upon himself in exchange for the peak of his Painful Power. Over the years, whether from the Suffering of his enemies or that of the slaves he had captured, combined with his own Suffering, all of the King of Suffering's strength was channeled into this final attack.
The Lava King was prepared to fight desperately. Ye Feihong could see that this state could not last much longer. She had no intention of using her full strength against the King of Suffering. At this moment, it was best to play it safe.
Rashomon—a great gate formed from Lava. This was a Wood Release technique; however, by substituting trees with lava, it wielded formidable power.
The King of Suffering transformed all his powerful attacks into mere ordinary strikes. He tore through one massive door after another, only to find that Ye Feihong had vanished before him.
On the Lava Sea, a dozen Lava Group giants loomed, each a towering Mi Gao. The King of Suffering had no idea that within one of those colossal Lava Giants lay Ye Feihong's true form. Yet, he could not afford to halt his assault.
These Lava Giants were not mere immobile statues; they possessed immense combat power. Giant Lava Fists rained down upon the King of Suffering. He had never felt so constrained before. He yearned to unleash a full-force strike to obliterate his opponent, but he couldn't even locate their true body.
His sharp front claws clashed relentlessly with the Lava Giants. Each of his attacks could tear apart a Lava Giant, yet he was also engulfed by torrents of molten rock. The wounds he inflicted upon himself burned fiercely, and he could feel the lava seeping into his innards.
He knew he couldn't hold on much longer. Though death was near, the endless suffering it brought made each of his attacks terrifyingly potent. However, his overwhelming strength could only continue to slay these Lava Giants one after another.
Killing one only brings forth two more.
In this Sea of Lava, the Lava Giants seem endless.
At this moment, the King of Suffering finally felt fear.
In the enemy's domain, he was always at an absolute disadvantage.
The King of Suffering began desperately trying to escape, wanting at least to distance himself from this Sea of Lava.
He was not afraid of Ye Feihong's pursuit; as long as he could leave this Sea of Lava, the opponent would not easily summon such a multitude of Lava Giants.
He still had confidence that his full-force strike could kill Ye Feihong.
The King of Suffering was much faster than the Lava Giants and was not worried that they could catch up to him.
However, his thoughts were too naive.
Meteor Volcano!
A massive amount of lava transformed into round spheres, quickly soaring into the sky.
Then it became an incredibly grand Meteor Shower.
One by one, meteors fell from the sky, rapidly descending towards the head of the King of Suffering, just as he had barely managed to escape the Sea of Lava.
