As the strange little package ignited, thin lines of flame began to creep slowly upward. Tiny sparks occasionally sputtered out, causing Wu Qianchuan to feel an overwhelming sense of urgency. "Quick! Throw it down! Aim carefully!"
His confidant wasted no time, rushing to the edge and tossing the still-burning package onto the pirate ship below. Inside the ship's cramped quarters, the pirates were bewildered. "What is that? Oil? Damn it! They can't be trying to burn our ship!"
Before he could finish his sentence, the strange package was consumed by flames, and in an instant, a deafening explosion erupted! The sound was like thunder, shaking the pirate ship as the explosion blackened the spot where it had landed, sending shockwaves that tore through the sails and sent wooden crates flying.
It was as if an invisible demon had unleashed havoc, ripping apart everything on the pirate ship. One unfortunate pirate who had peeked out from behind the hatch was thrown back by the force of the blast, leaving more than twenty pirates inside in a state of sheer panic. "What on earth was that?!"
The rest of the crew on other pirate ships were equally startled. What was that tremendous noise? Only Danmaku, well-versed in such matters, quickly pieced together what had happened.
"My God, has the Second Prince even managed to create Black Powder? To devise sea explosives like this—he could take out a main character with just one kick! This is unbelievable!"
"It must be Xu Lie! It’s definitely Xu Lie! He’s in the wrong place for a demolition job!"
"Impressive! I initially thought this massive ship was too simplistic with just arrows; it felt like using a handgun on a tank chassis. But now with Black Powder, it seems much more fitting."
The pirates facing the explosion were completely oblivious to the excitement of the audience; they were utterly dazed by the blast, their ears ringing with a cacophony of sounds. They couldn’t make out what their comrades on nearby ships were shouting.
All they could do was shout back hoarsely, "I can’t hear you! I can’t understand!"
Onboard the Giant Ship, Wu Qianchuan, Chen Tao, and all the sailors watching this scene were exhilarated, cheering loudly: "Long live His Highness! Long live His Highness!"
With Thunder God’s assistance, His Highness truly possessed divine virtue! It was all thanks to Thunder God’s help!
"Keep going! Give me more!"
Among them, Wu Qianchuan and his confidant who had thrown the explosive were particularly thrilled. This method of dropping thunderous explosives brought them immense satisfaction—a feeling of dominance and exhilaration!
The layers of superiority made them eager for another round of bombardment. It wasn’t just one confidant; other trusted soldiers of Wu Qianchuan hurriedly lit more explosive packages and hurled them towards several other pirate ships. The explosions echoed powerfully as Wu Qianchuan gestured towards Chen Tao.
Chen Tao finally regained his composure, temporarily suppressing his fear and shock regarding explosives. He rallied his sailors, who were already prepared, and they bravely jumped into action!
Outside, the pirates were dazed and disoriented; those who had been blasted didn't even dare to crawl. Even those who escaped the explosions were frightened like quails, too scared to show their faces. Only Shui Laohu shouted and yelled, trying to rally his men. If they continued in this state of fear, their fate would undoubtedly be even worse!
Before Shui Laohu could fully inspire his crew, he suddenly noticed that on the three Giant Ships, sailors were jumping into the sea like dumplings being dropped into boiling water. It left Shui Laohu utterly speechless.
Not to mention the excitement and near-manic expressions of the sailors as they leaped into the water—just the fact that they dared to jump was enough! Shui Laohu realized one thing for certain: he had definitely been deceived by the Noble Person!
What was this nonsense about being a landlocked duck? Lies, a million lies! Damn it! He had fallen for a huge trick!
