Here it comes, here it comes, the eleventh episode is here.
Oh, Chen Tao looks like he's clenching his fists again; it seems he's about to confront the prince. I can't wait to see him get kicked away again. I really miss those hilarious moments from the earlier episodes when Chen Tao was repeatedly sent flying.
As Danmaku flew by, it caught Xu Lie's attention. From the looks of Danmaku, Chen Tao must have returned from Fudi, and he seems furious, ready to cause trouble for himself.
Xu Lie perked up, not because he thought much of Chen Tao, the Ju Jie protagonist, but because he was preparing to put on a show in front of the audience. He aimed to boost his personal rating and earn more Payment.
He casually arrived at the front courtyard of the residence, where people were brewing tea and preparing snacks. Not seeing Danmaku or Song Qiao, A Gang was unaware of what was about to happen; he simply thought the prince was in a good mood and decided to enjoy some tea and scenery, so he stood by.
Once the servants finished their tasks, with the tea still steaming hot, a gloomy-faced Chen Tao walked in.
Xu Lie leisurely sipped tea in the courtyard, with eight plates of pastries and fruits laid out on the table. He pushed one plate toward the opposite side of the table and said, "You're back? Sit down; if you want tea, pour it yourself."
Chen Tao hesitated for a moment before slowly approaching and taking a seat. He neither poured tea nor touched any snacks, remaining silent.
Song Qiao quietly focused his energy, sensing something from Chen Tao's expressionless face. As an experienced veteran, he had an inkling of what was going on.
Meanwhile, A Gang noticed nothing unusual. During this time, Chen Tao had given up on revenge and diligently worked for his prince, which made their relationship better.
In their conversation, he spoke warmly: "What's wrong, Chen Tao? Are you waiting for the prince to pour you tea?"
No matter how great your contributions are, you shouldn't act so high and mighty.
In a joking manner, he reminded Chen Tao not to act all deep and mysterious. The prince invited you to sit down for tea; that's already generous enough. What more do you want?
Chen Tao completely ignored the comment or perhaps didn't pay any attention to A Gang. His focus was entirely on Xu Lie, staring intently into his eyes with a tone filled with conflicted inquiry: "Your Highness, I want to know... where is that benevolent ruler who cared for the people?"
Xu Lie had not yet responded when Song Qiao quietly moved to his right, keeping a close watch on Chen Tao's every move. Should Chen Tao dare to show any disrespect, Song Qiao would be ready to intervene immediately.
A Gang had initially felt there was nothing amiss, but upon seeing Song Qiao's serious demeanor, the playful expression vanished from his face as he earnestly positioned himself to Xu Lie's left. The two did not exert any pressure on Chen Tao; they didn’t even glance in his direction, remaining focused solely on Xu Lie.
This behavior exceeded the expectations of both Song Qiao and A Gang, as well as those of the audience.
"The protagonist has become more composed; he is no longer the naive and clumsy figure from the early episodes."
"People grow; having been by the prince's side, Chen Tao is no longer the inexperienced rookie he once was. He has begun to think like a hero who cares for the people."
"What about this time? What more will he grow into? Will he evolve from caring for the people to becoming a hero for the nation?"
"It's not just psychological growth; his martial skills are likely impressive as well. After all, he has accessed a century-old Internal Energy technique. Going head-to-head with Song Qiao and A Gang should pose no problem; it’s just a matter of whether he can surpass the prince."
The audience remained sharp, recalling how Chen Tao had once been overwhelmed by the imposing presence of Song Qiao and A Gang. Now, however, he seemed unfazed, no longer affected by their influence.
Xu Lie, with his cunning nature, wore a calm smile when the camera turned to him: "I don’t remember when I became cruel and tyrannical. I feel quite magnanimous."
